Roc Nation Management Adds Deejay Mick Boogie To Roster

Deejay/producer Mick Boogie announced today that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management arm will now be handling his business affairs. “I am now officially managed by Roc Nation. Their line-up is crazy… Jay-Z, Mark Ronson, Rihanna, The Ting Tings, D-Nice, Harley Viera-Newton, Santigold… and now me. Definitely time to take things to the next level,” wrote Mick in a statement.

The aforementioned Mark Ronson and former emcee D-Nice are two other deejays handled by Roc Nation.

With tapes such as Dilla-gence with Busta Rhymes and the late J Dilla, Viva La Hova , mixing Jay-Z with Coldplay, and even last year’s Summertime with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Mick Boogie has ascended to one of the premier mixtape creators in Hip Hop, as well as a top party deejay.

      1. I know what you mean. Give it a year or so. They got a strong roster. And they’re gonna drop music with no roll-out of marketing. They got some good stuff up their sleeves, and all mapped out.

      1. No kidding. Clue probably doesn’t want to share any of his earnings with anyone. With that said, maybe he could make even more money even while sharing with Roc Nation and do bigger things.

      2. @jonathan Arteaga , I second your comment about Clue/Roc Nation. Every since he was signed to The original Roc, he stayed repping his home team, “Desert Storm”. I heard he slow on the dribble when it comes to releasing other artists besides Fab. I.E. Ransom , The Teamstas (google them), Paul Cain , Dose & Ist String.

    1. I wanna stop hearing about who Jay-Z is signing and see some release dates for Roc Nation’s roster. J.Cole has been on there for 2 years with no album to show for it. Jay Electronica has been there for a year with people still waiting for Act II. If I were Jay-Z I’d hold off on “Watch the Throne” and get to making the label worh it.

This is gonna turn into some Shady records Re-Up shit soon.

      1. why does everybody keep getting this twisted? there is roc nation the label, and roc nation the MANAGEMENT COMPANY. mick boogie signed with the MANAGEMENT COMPANY who MANAGES his business affairs, he is not on the record label.

As far as releases from people MANAGED by the Roc, there is this girl named Rihanna…

    2. What ya’ll have failed to realize is that Roc Nation is not just a record label. Roc Nation is an entertainment company, including artists, songwriters, producers and engineer management, music publishing, touring & merchandising, film & television, new business ventures, and a music label.

      That’s taken from the wiki.

    3. ROC NATION IS KILLING HIPHOP WITH ITS SUPERFICIAL POMPOUS LINEUP OF EGOTISTICAL BULLSHITERS.

HOST A FUCKING MIXTAPE OR SOMETHING, BUT YEA YOU GOT SIGNED, YOU’RE NOW INSTANTLY RICH, BUT AFTER THAT ITS SILENCE

TAYLOR GANG BITCH WE PUT OUT MUSIC 24/7 CAUSE ITS WHAT WE DO
