Rick Ross Supports Kanye West In Jimmy Kimmel Feud

Following the release of Kanye West’s hour-long interview with the BBC, the Yeezus rapper was made fun of in a “Jimmy Kimmel Live” skit mocking West’s sit-down with Zane Lowe. The skit also sparked a brief Twitter feud between West and the show’s host, Jimmy Kimmel.

During the taping of the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards, a number of artists, including 2 Chainz and B.o.B, came to the support of West. Maybach Music Group helmsman Rick Ross even went on to state that Kimmel is no longer welcomed in the culture.

“I really didn’t watch all the interview. I just saw some of the Jimmy Kimmel shit,” said Ross, while speaking with MTV News. “Fuck Jimmy Kimmel. You know we riding with the culture. So, Jimmy Kimmel he ain’t welcome here no more. You understand it? People who cross that line they not welcome no more. But as far as Kanye, I just love his passion. And I feel anybody that love what they do you gotta respect someone that is that passionate about what they do because homie a hundred mill you can just sit back and really don’t give a fuck, but he actually cares about the culture. He puts that much passion into it.”

As an artist who has received praise from West and was even mentioned by the rapper during his BBC interview, 2 Chainz also gave kudos to the G.O.O.D. Music emcee and expressed appreciation for West noticing his unique qualities as an artist.

“You know, Kanye’s very passionate,” said the B.O.A.T.S. II: #MeTime rapper. “[For him] just letting his self go to the media like that I think he just has so much information that he wants to deliver. For me, I realize the special qualities I bring to the game although some people don’t. He’s one of the few people that do. I appreciate him greatly.”

B.o.B also chimed in with his thoughts on West as he commented on other artists hitting the barrier the rapper referenced numerous times in his interview.

“I’m glad he said a lot of the shit that he said cause it’s like that for me,” said B.o.B. “I think a lot of artists go through that, that Truman Show type barricade or barrier where you’re trying to get your ideas out, but if they can’t control you they don’t want to support what you’re doing. You know what I’m saying? And that’s for everybody. And I think it’s very important for artists to be proactive and really just be real. Say what the fuck is going on. You got a platform to talk and it’s good that he used that.”

In his interview with the BBC, West referred to himself as the “#1 rockstar on the planet” and stated that his Truman Show boat had hit the wall, a handful of times during the hour-long conversation. In The Truman Show, a character played by Jim Carrey realizes his entire life is a reality show and quite literally hit a wall while on his sailboat as he attempted to escape his scripted reality.

“Well, I’ve reached a point in my life where my Truman Show boat has hit the painting,” said West during last month’s interview. “And I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling.”

Released a couple of days after West’s BBC interview went viral, the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” skit features two children reenacting a small portion of West’s interview with BBC personality Zane Lowe. Shortly after the episode featuring the clip aired, West expressed his dislike for the skit via Twitter in a series of Tweets aimed directly at Kimmel. West’s Tweets to the late night talk show host have since been deleted.

    1. How cute. A bunch of dumb rappers defending their own. Rick Ross’ comment is the funniest because this nigga really believes he has a say in who’s part of the hip-hop culture.

    2. “How cute. A bunch of dumb rappers defending their own. Rick Ross’ comment is the funniest because this nigga really believes he has a say in who’s part of the hip-hop culture.”

Except that he really does have a say in culture.

      1. Ross has say in this culture, hes paid his dues and earned a spot as a multimillionaire CEO in this culture.

Ross is not some new artist that’s talking out the side of his mouth, he’s an artist that’s toured the world, sold millions of albums and been nominated for Grammys and other awards, he’s not an artist without merit or clout.

Ross is highly respected within the culture amongst artists and amongst the execs which is why he can collab with anybody and make business moves with ease.

        Jimmy Kimmel is a clown.

      2. jimmy kimmel is a clown you say? in a way i guess he is being a comedian. its his job to make people laugh.

officer ricky does the same thing. i laugh everytime i see him or hear him rap only its unintentional. maybe ross is a clown too!

    3. If we listened to this guy saying kimmel “aint welcome”, in comparison with his bars and previous line of work… he shouldn’t be either…

    4. if u cant take the heat than stop collecting those fat checks and disappear from the lime light… U guys sound like pussys… everyone takes heat for something

    5. If kanye didnt mention these artist in that interview they would have never said any of this shit. They wouldn’t have cared!

As far as B.O.B saying he hit the painting in the truman show – THEN GET THE FUCK OUT! First of all you aint that famous to have people lookin at you 24 7 like the truman show! Nigga get lost! Stop crying!

    6. If Rick Ross can work with the law and still be accepted in the culture, Im sure Jimmy Kimmel will be fine

      1. i know right. this nigga was a fucking correctional officer and he thinks he has any say about the culture?

      2. You sound like a white boy that dOesent know anything about HipHop culture.

Many Black men and women work in Corrections, it’s an honest profession and a lot more respectable than being a damn criminal.

I guess a freakish square like you forgot that Professor Griff from Public Enemy was a CO before Ross was and he’s still considered a legend and one of the most respected voices within the culture along with his comrade Chuck D.

It’s a damn shame how this genetic recessive freaks come with their whitewashed opinions.

    7. what culture? you fat fucking prick! and who is he to say that?

utterly contradicting!!! its people like you ya fat prick who has ruined the culture.

Its watered down and depleted, now get diabetes and die you fat waste of time.

      1. Yeah! I wish i could do a fat fuck trade off and bring back Patrice O’Neal and send Rick Ross as his replacement.

    8. Of course this walking talking joke of a character would get mad at a comedian for doing his job. LMAO

I hope kimmel makes a few officer ricky jokes

      1. Kimmel knows Ricky would send his goons after him. He’s going to keep picking on easy targets like Kanye cause he knows nothing will happen.

    9. Jimmy should get his tv buddies to ban ross from all late night tv, remove him from that culture! oh wait they weren’t calling him anyways

    10. Nigga you got more in common with Kimmel than you do Kanye. You’re been playing a character for almost 10 year, you even tatted another mans name on your fingers and stole his beard!

    11. Sounds like somebodies looking for a Kanye feature to help save his upcoming failure of an album after that single with Future bombed

      1. Ross and Kanye been cool for years and Ross is always going to ride for his dawg, plus he ain’t got shit to lose saying Fuck Jimmy Kimmel because anybody that watches Jimmy Kimmel ain’t up on game or else they’d be watching Jimmy Fallon & the Roots or Arsenio Hall.

Kanye & JayZ always give Ross a track he dOesent need to stand up for a friend to get a track when he can simply call them on the phone.

    12. What the fuck does leather jogging pants have to do with the culture? Anyone sticking up for Kanye is a dipshit. Kimmel had every right to mock that assclown for saying some stupid shit like that!

    13. I really didnt watch all the interview. I just saw some of the Jimmy Kimmel shit, said Ross, while speaking with MTV News. Fuck Jimmy Kimmel.” Seriously!! youd ont even know what is going on…but fuck him…and we gonna ride for the cukture..shut the fuck up!!! if you are ignorant to a topic…do not bother opening your mouth…waaa….waaaa…waaa…”im black and the world hates” bullshit is played the fuck out!!! Its ignorant fucks like you and the rest of this ignorant ass culture and society as whole that have caused the real suffering in this world…the fact that we are even on here talking about this and not the real shit going on in the world is ridiculous….go to Real News Network and learn some real shit assholes

      1. Do blog-nerds really believe that Extasy/Molly is a date-rape drug? LOL, no wonder Emenim sells so many records.

Emenim promotes pedophilia, rape, matricide, incest, homosexuality, cross-dressing and racism but he’s still my favorite rapper.

    14. Its such a shame those shooters were drunk and missed his car completely. I think the world would have been such a better place, not to mention the CULTURE of HIP-HOP would be so much better if he had just taken a slug or two in the neck

      1. Damn, wishing death on anyone is not cool man… People on the internet are ruthless, it’s so sad to see that people are capable of acting like this and they do it all the time.

      2. Why are you whites so hateful? You must listen to those raist rap-songs that Emenim made before he got famous.

Ross & Kanye can say a few words that make you wish death on another human being?

      3. Co-Signature for the second Anon. Why the hell wish death on a rapper..Smh you people need to get out of the house a lil more.

      4. he promotes obesity, date rape and drug dealing. hes a cancer to society and hip-hop culture. he doesnt deserve to breathe the same air as godfather soulja boy

      5. apparently anyone who doesnt like ross is a weirdo white according to this nigga that keeps changing his name every post but its so obvious its him cause no one else is writing paragraphs defending this cop

    15. What a fat bastard, that’s got to be one of the most see-through and pussy statements I’ve ever heard.

    16. Lost respect for Ross today. He admitted to not even listening to Kanye’s interview. How do you pick a side and back it fully without even knowing all the facts. Ross just wants attention.

      1. I gained a lot of respect for Rozay, he stuck up for his friend and shitted on a clown during an era when Black rappers are kissing white asses by the boatload just to get a few fans to buy their albums or come to their show.

      2. I saw video from a Ross and Wale show and it was nothing but white people holding their iphones. Not 1 black face could be seen in the crowd!!!!

      3. I respect Ross because he got a label full of artists who all used to clown him and make jokes about his fraudulent ass from Rockie Fresh to Meek Mill, to Wale and even French Montana. All these guys were mocking him when 50 was embarrassing him in the streets and doing nothing about it!!

Now Ross got them all on his team making money for him. Hes pimping his haters!!

      4. Dude I saw a video of Wale and Ross when they were in London and it was nothing but white people in the crowd! And dude then I saw a video of Wale and Meek in Africa and their was nothing but Blaxk people in the crowd. OMG dude it was awesome!

    17. This fraud nigga Rick Ross in the culture on a waiver and a pass. How the hell is he a gatekeeper now? It’s not like he helps the culture in any way.

      1. Do you whites just come on here so you can type the word NIGGA?

Ross earned his spot within the culture with hustle and hardwork, from Suave House to Slip N Slide to Def Jam.

The culture gets to see a ghostwriter from the South become a CEO of a poppin label without ever having to sell a platinum album for the label.

The culture needs Blaxk and Brown entrepanures who have Film divisions under their label and a Latin division under their label, the culture needs to see Rockie Fresh and Meek Mill getting Puma endorsements, and a artist like Wale getting dropped from Interscope and rebuilding his career.

The culture needs to see an organic artist like Stalley getting some shine and producers like BeatBillionaire getting some shine and DJs like Scream getting some shine and A&Rs like Sav getting some shine and videographers like DreFilms getting some shine and hypeman like Duce Poppi getting some shine.

It’s all about economic empowerment and creating revenue streams to feed our people and improve our condition as a people and that’s what our brother brings to the culture from this angle.

It’s our culture anyway so why are you here?

      2. How much is MMG paying to you dickride them so hard bruh? If you not getting paid you should be!!!!

This guy my new favorite troll. Anyone who makes fun of Ross is automatically a white oppressing the black man whos just trying to make it in a market overcome by hipsters and whites. LMAO

YOU’RE PROBABLY WHITE TOO, MY NIGGA

      3. I’m white, I’m not trolling just kinda lonely and looking for an excuse to use the word DickRiding…I love that word and the visual it brings

      4. I’m not white-skinned, if I was I’d probably be talking about a rappers weight or using a variation of the word Dick to express myself.

The market is leaning towards whites and hipsters which is why 6 of the best selling singles this year in HipHop are either by whites or have whites on them.

White rappers are only 5% of the total of all rappers but around 80% of the top 10 singles…

The hipsters like Tyler, A$Ap and Wiz are the new hype while more street oriented artists are becoming less popular.

No more than ever you will see artists like French Montana, Juicy J, T.I., 50Cent & Kendrick Lamar infusing white POP females into their music to appeal to the fickle market.

Whites are 85% of the buying demographic so many artists are trying to cater to them through sound.

    18. These over sensitive rappers are fucking killing me already! The game is so soft right now it’s sad! You bitch ass fans are even worst! Man the fuck up!!

    19. 10 Years from nothing Ross and his team have done up to this point will matter at all. He has zero classics. All of the artists he has brought into the game our put on are mediocre.

      1. So were G Unit. How many examples can you provide of the boss being outshined by his underlinks? It never happens. Doesn’t mean MMG or G Unit didn’t make their bread.

      2. No one is talking about G-unit. But they did more than MMG ever will.

and what the fuck is an underlink?

        i thought it was underling?

      3. 10 years from now MMG artists will still be eating off their publishing and most likely grooming new artists of their own.

G-Unit artists never firmly established their own labels or groomed their own artists or secured their own endorsements because their leader was a crab (Tony Yayo & Banks).

Game dOesent count, he was pretty much an Aftermath artist who got thrown in the mix by Dre & Iovine so he could bubble of 50s popularity.

Meek has already co-authored a book, got multiple endorsements from Ciroc, Belaire, Monster, and Puma and has his own label Dreamchasers records with artists like Snupe (RIP) and Louie V etc so Meek is doing what Lloyd Banks was never able to do.

Wale has already established his label BOA and has his artists like Black Cobain and Tiara Thomas (RIP) and he’s got his own clothing line Workng Title along with his Belaire endorsement.

Game and Buck turned around and shitted on G-Unit and helped it crumble untill it virtually disappeared I don’t see Stalley & Rockie Fresh behaving like that towards MMG.

      4. MMG artists eating off their publishing 10 years from now?

just stop it dude. no ones eating off those flops now let alone 10 year layer

      5. Yeah we were discussing publishing earlier and how KRSONE is getting a check for that song on the LeBron commercial. Songs like Hustling & Imma Boss are gonna always being in some money and Wale went Gold with that Rihanna song. I like how MMG pool their money and invest in the same stocks, they even have an MMG merchandise store and Stalley has his own store. The thing I respect the most is Ross buying 6 different Wingstops and bringing jobs to the hood.

    20. Crazy how Ross appeared on that tv show Magic City and then it got cancelled all of a sudden. He ruined the whole show LOL

    21. yeah the sidekicks almost never outshine the leader(Jaz-z-Damon Dash/Freeway,Beanie Siegel, etc. Nas with the braveharts was areal jokes does guys couldn t rap. Dre Dre – where is hitman??the Wu-tang only ghost, rza and really relevant the rest is just leaching.

Ross and who? Gunplay, that arrogunt F meek mill. the diplomats – Vado (slime flue whtf)

50 cent – Tone Yayo hahaha he just living of his nearly 8 million intrest he gained when the unuit came up.

      etcetc

    22. I hate stupid niggas who have an opinion on something without even knowing what their talking about. If Ross didn’t see or watch anything he should shut the fuck up and keep it moving.

    23. Being that Ross is often the butt of everyones jokes its really no surprise that he would run to the aid of a fellow assclown being rightfully mocked by the media!

      1. Do you honestly believe these filthy rich CEOs care if us worthless and anymore bloggers poke fun at their body size or wardrobe??

Ross is in Dubai getting paid 100K to do a show for some oil-Arabs and Kanye has Kim Kardashian bent over a kitchen counter somewhere smashing her guts.

I feel like a friggin loser even talking about these guys knowing how they live compared to me.

      2. dude, you are the loser for replying to every comment with yoru sarcastic ass replies. do you work for mmg? why you so mad?

      3. That dude has you in your feelings, why are you reading every comment anyway don’t you have better things to do with your life?

    24. LOL kangay got bent out of shape for some ridiculous gay shit HE said.

kangay is an angry homo that ppl will always hate.

he has a very soft and gay fanbase that will always love him.

late night joke tellers > overblown diva faggots that think they saved art by making daft punk sampled rap trash and leather jogging pants

      1. The thing I hate the most about that fat Black fucktard is that he hasn’t signed any white artists to his label like everybody else and he didn’t show us any love on his last album or on the Self Made compilation. Fat Fuck. The homie 2-Chainz had Fergie on his album and A$AP is in a relationship with Iggy. Kendrick showed us love with Anna Wise on his album and Jeezy gave love to Emenim but the fat black Ross is racist and refuses to do songs with white women like Fiddy does, I’m going to boycott MMG because they are dark skinned haters while Drake is light skinned and handsome, even LIL Wayne gives us love but the fat Officer wont

      2. damn this ross stan is really going in on the white people! funny how he somehow thinks only strong minded black people listen to ross and all white people are against him

      3. I’m white and I don’t let typewritten words on a computer screen make me emotional, I simply ignore it, not all white people are like the idiot above me who is clearly sensitive and mentally ill.

    25. “No one is talking about G-unit. But they did more than MMG ever will”

Correction. 50 did it. Banks and Buck went platinum once, then crumbled. At least Wale is still going strong. Even Omarion makin more bread than any of 50’s former pals lol

    26. “no ones eating off those flops now let alone 10 year layer”

Ross and Wale are both gold artists. That’s not flopping. Meek flopped in comparison, but is still making money, and keeping a high profile. I don’t think they’ll still be around ten years from now, but even if they got 3 more years to do this, they’ll walk away financially better off than most.

      1. quoteman did you see you got some competition! you better step it up this dude is gonna take your job stanning for ricky

    27. “Ross dont have any goons”

Do you really think a dude worth $28 million doesn’t have people on speed dial? Come on now.

      1. I think he’s worth more than 28million, he’s made the HipHop Forbes list 5 years in a row with over
$6 million. Ross might be one of the greatest hustlers of all time in the rap game, he made his millions during the illegal download era and he did it without being a platinum artist or having a platinum artist.

      2. you are the definition of a PENIS RIDER, YOU GOT RICKYS DICK SO FAR UP YOUR ASS YOU CAN TASTE IT IN YOUR MOUTH

      3. Ross got mad goosn. didnt you see when he tried to run up on that lil white girl kreayshawn for callin him fat a fake? damn that took some serious balls to run up on a white girl

    28. I didn’t see it, what did Kimmel even say that was so bad? Was it really out of line or can these grown men just not take a joke?

      1. well kanye went on a big twitter rant and called himself pac a bunch of time then kimmel clowned him some more

    29. Whites make up the largest portion of Ross’ fans

he got rich selling drug dealer fairy tales to suburban white kids

Jay and Nas will work with anyone for the right price

      1. Yes I blame whites on Ross popularity also, white suburban kids are responsible for the way you feel about him and his movement.

Those same white suburban kids made Emenim rich by him selling serial-killer fairy tales about raping your own mother and sex with your step-father.

Styles P, Jadakiss, Rocko, Gucci, Keef, T.I., Raekwon, Ghostface, Nipsey, Meek, Fat Joe, wll work with anyone for the right price.

    30. Kimmel didn’t actually do shit. They bitchin’…

The kid in the skit was actually more intimidating that Kanye.

      1. Im a HipHopper so I’m always gonna side with HipHop when it comes to rifts between celebrities. I’m a huge fan of Kanye’s music and I like Ross music to and I don’t watch late night TV unless it’s like Nas or the Roots on TV. These assxlowns aren’t a part of HipHop so they need to STFU

      1. I know right. Why would a 45 year white millionaire comedian, actor, voice artist, writer, television producer, and television host want to be in hip-hop culture??

If Kimmel asked Meek or Wale to do his show they’d be there in an instant!

      2. Lol, exactly. Kimmel straight doesn’t give a fuck about what Ross has to say. Ross’s music mainly appeals to the lowest common denominator anyway.

      1. Umm since when does a rapper who was a cop an denied it have any say so on the “culture”?

News Flash! We Didn’t elect officer ricky to speak on behalf!!!

      2. Officer Ricky was a Cop dude he locked up criminals dude, so how can you support someone within HipHop cultures who may have been against criminals!? HipHop culture is all about Black dudes being criminals so Officer Rickey has no say dude!

      3. ^^^ are you implying that hip hop culture is only for criminals? thats what your comment sounds like, officer ricky cant be a spokesman because he has zero credibility there are zero facts to back up his raps, if he rapped about being a c.o or something honest then id have no problem with him…but he lies and credibility is everything in society

    31. Rick Ross should not be speaking on behalf of hip-hop culture. If you represent the culture that means you represent us, the people. I dont know how rapping about cars and money in every song represents us. If you think Rick Ross represents hip-hop culture you are selling yourself short. Rick Ross represents the corporate side of the music industry and he represents himself. I know his fans wont be able to digest this, but when you grow up and become strong enough to face reality, you’ll understand… and im not saying he is a bad rapper.

      1. Hiphop culture is Grafitti, Breakdancing, Rapping, DJing, & Knowledge.

If Ross puts himself in a position to rap and signs DJs like Sam Sneaker to Dj and supports
Nu-Graffiti artists like Mr Brainwash and signs artists like Stalley then who are you to speak on what he represents when your only contribution to the culture is blogging an anonymous opinion on a random website like HipHopDX?

      2. I just stopped by to say DICKRIDER, it’s my favorite expression to use when having discussions with other males.

    32. The biggest problem today is that we dont have HIP-HOP fans, we have Artist fans. Theses kids commenting on these blogs are not fans of the culture, they are fans of the artists and they put the artists before the culture. No one is man enough to admit that their favorite artist is wrong or that they put out a wack song. The proof is in the pudding. Look ant any comment section on this website and witness how people defend their favorite artists like its their religion. Half of yall cant even appreciate good hip-hop music unless it comes out the mouth of your favorite artist. Nino Bless had the best response to Kendrick’s control verse but because he isnt Kanye or Drake nobody cared, but if Kanye or Drake rapped the same Nino Bless verse yall would be crowning them King. Shits Sad.

    33. Oh seriously Rick Ross fuck off. I cannot believe this motherfucker thinks he’s the arbiter of hip hop culture.

    34. does ross mean the culture he stole from a real gangster and made it into albums?

he wasnt even a part of his own culture until he rapped..

actually thats a lie hes been in jails all over this world..watching over his culture loll

      1. Im black and i think Rick Ross promotes obesity, rape and violence to our children.

Hell he even opened up fried chicken restaurants to further the obesity and negative sterotypes against us black folk.

      2. I’m Black also and Im glad Ross brought some jobs back to the hood, it might make strange whites upset that he opened up a WingStop franchise instead of a Starbucks but people without a lot of disposable income would rather have some inexpensive protein instead of expensive caffeine.

      3. deep fried chicked is just as detrimental to your health as starbucks.. both are shit for your body.. diet is the #1 reason for the huuuuuge uptick in heart disease, diabetes, asthma, cancer, etc…

    35. GIVE ME A CHANCE
Youtube is all about finding new artist, & though I been rapping for a while im still consider a new artist. I just want my music heard thats all, im not looking for no record deal, getting famous ‘r anything like that.! so please just spare a few sec. to check me out, & if you like what you heard please SUBSCRIBE so ill know you actually listen & support
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzBh55tD_eg

    36. That Nazi Jimmy definitely crossed the line when he made fun of a black person. The audacity. Anything but that. We need to all cry…. I mean stick together as a culture against this white man oppressing us with his comedy. Kill whitey !!

    37. Not welcome where Ross? Wingstop???? LOL I’m sure Jimmy Kimmel is heartbroken at the thought of Rick Ross cutting him out of the culture he so badly wanted to be apart of.

      1. I’m white I’m lonely and I have no friends in real life…..is it okay if I seek communication and acknowledgement on an anonymous rap blog?

      2. I hate when people attack HipHop and rappers but Jimmy Kimmel is still a white guy and one of us so we should defend him against attacks from these black dudes.

      3. BLACK POWER LETS HATE ON ALL WHITE PEOPLE EVEN THOUGH THE MAJORITY OF MY FAV RAPPER RICK ROSS’ SALES COME FROM WHITE HIGH SCHOOL KIDS

      4. To the odd loner guy that’s talking about Black Power, you should know that 90% of rap sales come from us white people so we are the reason why Ross is rich and famous instead of Talib Kweli. We are the reason MC Hammer has a diamond selling album so leave us alone.

      1. you mean like the black guy writing paragraphs attacking everyone who dislikes officer ricky? yeah thats what you call sensitive!

      2. LOL, oh boy, I wonder how many sensitive whites will respond to your comment!

        ……might overload the servers.

      3. Again, how would you know if they’re white? Don’t you think that black people are the ones with these comments? You’re probably white yourself.

    38. Rick Ross trying to piggie back off the attention Kanye getting… Kimmel wont even address this fat bastard as ross aint hot right now.

      1. most of these rappers aint real niggas. Word, Nas bankrupt never was a drug runner, Lil Wayne aint no blood, Jeezy aint no BMF, 50 a snitch, Game a stripper, Em was gay. None of these niggas real you guys. If they was all real they all be dead now. Like it or not Ross is the new biggie.

        BAWSE!!!!!!

    39. Black rappers are so scared to just say “yeah kanye is a fuck head what was he talking about” as it will maybe hurt the realtionships in the industry or sales.

I would like to hear one rapper tell the truth
      – ” Yeah kanye was dope and is talented but Yeezus sucks and he is on the BBC crying about leather jogging pants jimmey needed to clown him”

    40. if kanye died right now there would be no more than a thousand at his funeral, unlike michael who had one hundred thousand and millions of mourners around the world, michael passed the glass celling and also reached his fans, and didnt abuse them like an arrogant fuckwit. kanye is a shit kicking smak spinner, that will never reach such an elite status!

    41. Ahahahaha, how cute. This pan cake thinks he’s part of hip-hop culture. Jimmy Kimmel is more hip-hop than this corn ball.

      1. if you go on his wiki page it actually lists kimmel as a rapper next to actor, comedian, singer, writer, television host and producer

      1. Not a fair comparison due to Biggie being deceased and a legend on top of that.

Ross is Ross, he’s cemented his position as one of the top rappers of his era, his 4 Gold albums in the non-platinum era can’t be dismissed and he accomplished this in an era where pop-fluff and Hipster influence was the order of the day.

Legacy wise you can’t ignore MMG and thier run, I still think they dropped the ball by not signing Nipsey or Dom but signing Fat Trel was a good move.

        I salute their success.

      2. Not to barge in on the convo but I enjoy Ross music and don’t think homosexual acts should be a part of this discussion. I’m not gay bashing dude but let’s talk about the music and not Ross genitals.

    42. Eazy-E kept it so real and sick that he died and overdosed on AIDS. Don’t fuck with the corporation executives y’all.

Tupac was about that Thug Life and kept it so street that he got clapped in the streets of Las Vegas. Big L was so big in the streets, he got clapped in the NYC nigga.

Chief Keef is so fucking street, he released baby gangsta tears when he found out he was going to the little kids’ slammer for 30 days. Keeps it so black that he has bad credit, doesn’t pay rent on time, gets no education, and never shows up on time. Keeps it 3hunna, just like Gucci Mane when he slappin’ bitch ass hoes.

DMX kept is so real he did crack and went into the slammer 69 times, 69 places, 69 different positions.

Too Short kept it so real he ran from the cops while under the influence. He’s a player.

50 Cent kept it so real and kept his bitches in check, his ass got checked and charged with domestic violence.

Lil Wayne keeps is so real, he’s able to be a Blood, Crip, and a Punk Rocker all at once (doesn’t get realer than that shit). He also performs homoerotic hood rituals with Birdman every weekend. That shit is fucking trill.

Meek Mill keeps it so street, he fucks with a former officer to get him off the streets. William Roberts meating Robert Williams. Street connections baby.

I mean, when does keeping it real ever go wrong……..?

      1. All those people you mentioned are more successful than you are and while you are keeping it real by discussing other men’s lives with Internet strangers from your mothers basement these rich and famous people don’t ven know you exist.

    43. 50 cent is obssesed with this nigga ross and hes mad that ross is on top n hes not. 50’s garbage. 50 is soo wak and hes such a hater thats why gunit fell off. hes lucky ja rule didnt beat him up a 3rd time. and 50 cent was never real. ghetto quran he snitched on the reeal biggest drug dealer in queens supreme kenneth mcgriff look that up. you 50cent stans musta seen the get rich or die trying movie n belived it haahahaha

      1. 50-Cent went to war with Ross and Ross won.

Ross was only a southern rapper with a few platinum hits and a few Gold albums before he went to war with 50 but now he’s a southern rapper with a few more Gold records but now a CEO making the Forbes list every year and having succesful artists working for him.

50-Cent is virtual, ynirrelevant within the culture but Ross is on every song and album getting Grammy nominations and bringing home plaques.

MMG move like a family from their DJs to their producers to their videographers so their movement is respected while G-Unit was just a bunch of infighting and negativity with everybody dissing their leader.

    44. I’m sure Jimmy Kimmel is crying himself to sleep every night losing the support of raps biggest crybaby and an overweight fraud who struggles to gold every time his seizure prone over-promoted ass releases something

      1. jimmy probably dont even know who this guy is apart from the whole c.o. thing and getting shot at, and maybe he heard about him losing reebok money for raping women

      2. “Struggles to go Gold”

LMAO, that’s the funniest shut I ever heard a hater say, that’s like saying “He struggles to make a million dollars”.

        You need a suntan buddie.

    45. People who cross that line? Hahaha this fat nigga is the POLICE, and hes talking about who crossed that line and people who aint welcome. Nigga its the police. Thats you Willy. Fuck Outta Here Nigga

      1. naw he got it right.

just cause ross has law enforcement training doesnt mean he gets to enforce the hip-hop culture and lock people out of the rap game, this isnt prison

      2. It’s sad when clueless outsiders speak on HipHop, things got messy when HipHop hit the Burbs.

Ross isn’t a policeman and never was, he spent a year as a CO at Florida Intake when he was 19, I’m from Miami so I may be a little more mature and educated on this.

C.O.s have no jurisdiction outside of their facility so they have no bearing on your life and your pursuit of happiness, they simply babysit criminals.

The real police are the ones that rappers hire to perform security at concert venues and shows, former police act as bodyguards to your favorite rappers and escort them from airports.

But on the flip side why do squares like you act so anti-police when you are not in the streets committing criminal acts to be on the rival list with police?

HipHop is not all criminal culture and you Internet nerds need to stop acting like we are.

      3. The police have special units that follow these rappers and try to build cases on them because a lot if rappers have associates who are criminals, felons and ex-cons so you have to be careful and move with caution or else you could end up in prison like Cain and Abel. I’m from the WestCoast where police be gangbanging and selling dope on some Training Day & Death Row type shit so I don’t be tripping, I got homies in the military that come home and be gangbanging too. Suge Knight could have never killed Biggie without the help of the gangbanging Blood police that he had on his payroll, them dudes like David Mack was robbing banks and doing hits while they was in civilian clothes and then out on their uniforms and investigate the same crime.

      4. naw they werent following ross he hired them to protect him after he heard a few gunshots and crashed into a building drunk!

crazy how he walked away from crashing his car drunk on his birthday with a loaded unregistered gun and didnt even get a ticket! i guess them police connections coming in handy i know i woulda got locked up

      5. I don’t know if Ross has connections with the Miami Police Department based on him working as a CO for a year at an Intake center about 20 years ago but maybe I’m stupid. As an intelligent individual I’d say that being a multi-millionaire can get you out of more scrapes than connections can….we all seen Gunplay beat an armed-robbery charge that was caught on tape and I doubt he has any connections except for a high-powered attorney who saved his Hispanic ass.

      6. @BlackMan
Homie it got messy when little niggas got to be so gullible and feminine.
Hip Hop aint all criminal culture. So since you from MIA go tell that fat nigga to stop rapping about “Noriega, the real Noriega” and “Big Meech” and “Larry Hoover” and “I Moved a hunned bricks”.
        Because we dont believe him.
You ever been locked up nigga?
C.O.’s strip you naked from the gates, have you bent over grabbing your nutsack kneeling and coughing. They aint feel that was adequate they stickin 2 fingers up your asshole looking for contraband. So how many assholes that fat nigga violate in that measely year? How many prisoners are processed a day? Fuck outta here and your defense of this fat nigga who STOLE a drug dealers name and image for noteriety

    46. since when does rick ross decide who is welcome in the culture, this is something that only the Nas and Rakims have to decide.

    47. the culture?! what the fuck have Kanye & Rick Ross done for the hip hop culture? Kanye & Jay literally. their music today, sounds like they’re just looking at their bank statement & giving eachother high 5’s all over the beat. Rick Ross… never nice

    48. fuuuuck that, that fat fuckin fake “Rick Ross” the C.O. aint welcome in this culture, and never HAS been!!! He might THINK that his earnings equal respect in Hip-Hop, but any true head knows that he’s never been taken seriously by ANY real MC.

Just because SOME real MCs choose to put him on their records, it’s just their way of dissing him without dissing him… similar to how Eminem did records with Wayne and Drake. It was just to show the world how shitty they truly are…

      …can’t stand Officer Rozay >: P

      1. Probably the dumbest comment of the day.

So now rappers make music with other rappers as a way of dissing them instead of just making a diss song about them? Are you smoking Meth?

Emenim did songs with Wayne and Drake for the same reason everybody else does because they are two of the biggest artists in the game.

Rappers like Kool G Rap work with who they want to because they are legends.

      2. i disagree about kool g rap. they work with whoever is popular cause no one buys their albums or tickets to their shows. they are grasping for relevance even if they gotta do a record with fraud

      3. Oh okay that’s an awesome answer.

So explain why JayZ put Ross as the only guest-rapper on his last album.

Why does Nas continue to collab with Ross? Why does Kanye? Do rich succesful artists who are either legends or platinum selling artists need a Gold artists help?

Why do these street artist like Keef, Gucci, Jadakiss, Nipsey, Slim Thug etc keep making songs with Ross….shouldn’t these street artists be concerned that they will lose fans by associating with someone that people like you consider a fraud?

Why do these street artists who are from the streets have a different mentality than an anonymous blogger like you? Are they blatantly trolling you by putting Ross on their albums or do they possibly know something you don’t….or maybe just maybe your opinion is worthless and invalid to them based in their pedigree?

      4. Dude just chill. Rozay gets major love, he sold a little dope but so did all of these street dudes because selling drugs is the easiest profession in the hood, it takes no skill except knowing a supplier to give you some work and knowing an area where crackheads frequent. These rappers exaggerat how much they sold but they all sold work.

I don’t trip off the exaggerations because I’m old school from an era where Dr Dre was a DJ and not a gangster, an era where ICE T & Too Short spit pimp takes but admitted they never had actual prostitutes, and era where Tupac did ballet and went to school with Jada Pinkett but proclaimed to be a Thug….I’m from an era where Public Enemy were the most militant rappers in the world but their members where from the suburbs and Corrections Officers.

I went through the Nas Escobar phase and the Snoop Dogg pimp phase and the Emenim serial Killer phase and it was all entertainment to me nothing more and nothing less.

I went through rappers using names like Mussolini, Capone, Khdafi, Sigel, Noriega, Gotti, Castro, Makavelli, and even Frank White…..

I’m a grizzled veteran of HipHop who has seen it and heard it all so when a rapper named M&M who wasn’t chocolate in the least came through with serial-killer raps while cross-dressing in his videos I wasn’t surprised especially when he was exposed for making racist rap songs before he got famous.

It’s all a game and some people see the reality of it all and some don’t so I just keep it moving and enjoy the music without getting caught up in the images.

      5. he really taking this shit personal huh!!!! he writing fucking essays in reply to sentences and calling me the loser for commenting!!!!!

    49. And Rick Ross is relevant because…? Seriously, who cares what this jagoff has to say? He couldn’t form a coherent sentence to save his life.

      1. I typically defend HipHop from outsiders but Kimmell is white so I’m taking his side over the black dudes.

      2. I can’t hate on Ross he went from one hit wonder to CEO of his own label. I don’t know if he was an actual scumbag selling crack rocks to his own people but if he was he’s a friggin peice of shit. I heard he was a CO keeping criminals locked up away from his community and if that’s true then I respect him. I think the song off MBDTF with Ross is fuckin insane and I’ve been a fan ever since! Boss!

      3. you respect him for denying and lying about having a legit job as a teen and instead pretending to have lived the life of another man who he also stole his name from but refuses to acknowledge it

      4. So what if he lied about his teenage employment history, are we crucifying Emenim for making racist rap songs and lying about them and trying to sweep them under the rug?

Hundreds of rappers pick random drug-dealers names or haven’t you ever heard of Capone and Noriega? Have you heard of all the rappers using Gotti in their name?

Freeway Rick sold CIA drugs to Crip gang members in California, that’s who’s name Rick Ross uses for his stage-name but nothing in his rhymes talks about Freeway Ricks life you idiot.

I’m from Miami and Rozay gets his stories from Kenny Black & the Boobie Boys who were major in Carol City when Ross was growing up and one of his closest friends P-Nut was a Boobie Boy and Ross and their crew were moving work with Boobies goods like most every other Hustler in Carol City…do you think an individual like Gunplay was invented in Utah?

If Rozay was using a Cali dudes story then he would most likely be sued and lose a lawsuit but his raps are specific to our city and our streets not some 1980s dude who was working with the government in California.

Hit the streets and ask the real gangsters what’s going down instead of listening to 50 Cent.

      5. he denied even taking the mans name which is a complete joke. he tried to say that his nickname ricky ross came from when they called him big boss when he played football.. like cmon man, just admit it

      6. why does he keep talking about gunplay like hes some super thug?

Hes a junkie who used to get beat up in high school daily!

He still gets beat up on the regs! Saw pictures of him knocked out cold at his own fucking concert in his own state for talking shit to some unknown local rappers! Damn thats gangsta

    50. How dare you all talk bad about this great American hero, Rick Ross! Anyone who talks bad about this great american has to be a white skinned racist weirdo who spends too much worry about and replying to comments on the internet!!!

BOOOOOO!! You should all be ashamed of yourselves you dirty racist whites!

      1. Your rant is stupid considering the fact that us whites are the majority supporters of you guys music.
Yes I’m white skinned but I have light skinned and dark skinned people who I consider my closest friends. Don’t hate on us whites who listen to Ross and support MMG, we are music fans who enjoy the music and we could care less about a rappers teen employment history or his jail record, we just want to go to the club and have fun, or go to a concert and wild out, you racist fucks are degenerates who play the race card to make yourselves feel better about your own pathetic lives wher you have no fun outside of trolling on the Internet, I’m gonna bump my Ross and my Khalifah you asshole and you can’t do shit about it.

      2. I think he wasbeing sarcastic! Seems like he was mocking the guy who keeps talking about whites whenever someone says anything bad about Rick Ross

    51. Jimmy Kimmel shits all over Rickys whole life! He wont even get a mention on the show and you already know thats what he was hoping for!!!

    52. Besides support Kanye West Ross also supports date rape, KFC, McDonalds, Arby’s, Checkers, Popeyes, Burger King, In-n-Out, Wendy’s, Subway, Red Lobster, and a whole lot more!

    53. If this guy went on the HHDX facebook page he would lose his mind! out of like 60 comments only 2 were pro Rick Ross!!!

    54. Has anyone watched CB4 recently? I swear Chris Rock was a mother fucking psychic making a movie like that then 15 years later it came true!!!

    55. yall blowin this shit out of proportion

Kanye over here dressin like a homosexual, married the biggest media whore since marilyn monroe and makin horrible music (my opinion) that I refuse to even consider “hiphop” at this point .

And the fact is 8 times out of 10 we’re not even talkin about Kanye cause of his music, so fuck outta here wit that “culture” bullshit. The man was makin himself a joke for the media.. so of course hes going to get mocked and laughed at.

    56. Rick Ross haters are by far the worst

They like to bring up the fact that hes fat (which means nothing), and the fact that he was a CO when he was NINETEEN while conveniently overlooking the fact that he blew up in 06 (when he was 30), so while they like to say he is the fakest rapper ever, and he never sold dope, they themselves have to no proof for that claim. Really? You were alongside him for 11 years, and you know for a FACT that he didnt slang? Doubt that, specially when real niggaz from Miami vouch for him. Theres so many real niggaz that have vouched for Ross over the years, outside the rap game

Not to mention, Ross is from Carol City, the meanest part of Miami. He ran with the Boobie Boys (the gang that ran Miamis drug scene) and Ross was KENNETH BOOBIE WILLIAMS’ FUCKING PROTEGE for godsakes

Also, Meek is BY FAR the realest nigga in rap (this is not up for a debate). Do you think hed not only work with Ross, but be Ross’ right hand man if he thought for one second Ross was a fake? Also, Chief Keef is a real nigga (how long is his rap sheet, specially for a 17 y/o), and hes worked with Ross.

      Bawse!!

      1. You have good points on ross. I can respect meek, but chief keef is just a dumb ass street thug, making garbage ass music, and probably gonna be dead within the next years

      2. C.O.s don’t put people away a group of your own peers do… But you guys are taking the focus of the article which was to show for a fellow brother in the game as him and letting the opposition know to stay in their lane with the non-sense bull john they were trying to run on Kanye his interview shed light upon situations that as a prospering black male he is facing at the time currently and Jimmy Kimmel rook the time to turn that into a Joke which wasn’t funny to anyone who understood the relevance of his interview… Lets just say what Kanye was talking about was the same things 2pac was realizing in his last days and I hate to say but if Kanye keeps exposing the opposing forces he too will end up like 2pac!!!

      1. “It was a point I flew G. Rap down to Miami and I offered G. Rap a deal, this was years ago, this was before Maybach Music Group had really took form. I was such a huge fan and we got into the studio and we did maybe three records in a couple hours. I was like, ‘Man.’ We did one record we released titled ‘Knife Fight.’ It was just good to see the homie on his feet, still doing good. [Why didn’t it work out?] For different reasons. I’m not really sure. We both agreed to certain things but through time or whatever, he was doing his thing.”

      1. i just read it the tuesdayday on SOHH dot com, front page article

“Rick Ross Reveals What NY Legend Turned Him Down: “I Offered Him A Deal””

    57. @BlackMan
Homie it got messy when little niggas got to be so gullible and feminine.
Hip Hop aint all criminal culture. So since you from MIA go tell that fat nigga to stop rapping about “Noriega, the real Noriega” and “Big Meech” and “Larry Hoover” and “I Moved a hundred bricks”.
      Because we dont believe him.
You ever been locked up nigga?
C.O.’s strip you naked from the gates, have you bent over grabbing your nutsack kneeling and coughing. They aint feel that was adequate they stickin 2 fingers up your asshole looking for contraband. So how many assholes that fat nigga violate in that measly year?
