Rich The Kid has been arrested in Miami for refusing to obey police orders while they investigated a bomb threat at a hotel where he was staying.
According to TMZ, the rapper was arrested after cops established a perimeter around the SLS Hotel while they conducted their investigation and barred anybody from going inside.

Rich apparently insisted that he needed to get to his room, which the cops said could not happen while they were investigating. They allegedly warned him he would be arrested if he continued to insist on going to his room.
According to the police, Rich responded by saying, “I’ll bond out in 20 minutes” and attempted to enter the hotel through a different entrance but was confronted by security.

The “New Freezer” rapper then allegedly jumped the fence before encountering a K-9 unit. He was ordered to leave the hotel but refused before he was taken into custody.
Rich The Kid (real name Dimitri Leslie Roger) was hit with two misdemeanor charges: resisting an officer without violence and trespassing.

In a separate report by The Shade Room, it’s claimed that Rich attempted to enter the hotel because he was trying to meet with a music promoter to collect his payment for an event.
The 31-year-old was scheduled to perform at the Hyde Beach nightclub alongside NLE Choppa and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
Rich has since been released from jail and appeared to reference his arrest by posting a clip from the film Scarface on Instagram where Tony Montana tells cops: “You want to waste my time? Okay. I call my lawyer. He’s the best lawyer in Miami. He’s such a good lawyer that by tomorrow morning, you’re gonna be working in Alaska… so dress warm.”
The arrest is not the first bit of controversy Rich The Kid has been involved in this year. In April, the rapper was accused of paying a woman tens of thousands of dollars in “hush money” to not reveal an affair.

In the same lawsuit, he was accused of sexual assault and not paying the full amount he said he would.
It was claimed that Rich promised the unidentified woman $35,000 to keep quiet about their affair, which resulted in a terminated pregnancy. She alleged that the rapper paid only $10,000.
