Rapper Indicted in $1.3 Million Adam Sandler Movie Scam

    Local Chicago rapper Blaxican and his business partner, Brian Falatovich, have been indicted on felony charges, claiming that they conned $1.3 million from investors by claiming to be producing an Adam Sandler movie.

    According to suburbanchicagonews.com, Blaxican, whose real name is Eric Jaglicicm were indicted last week on 27 counts each of theft, theft by deception, security fraud and wire fraud, and face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

    The rapper and his partner have been under investigation since at least November, when Blaxican’s $442,000 mansion was seized by investigators. The home included a recording studio, a Hummer, game arcade and two pet alligators. Prosecutors believe that the rapper paid for this with the scam.

    Blaxican and Falatovich are accused of caliming to be producing a movie called “The Record Deal,” starring Adam Sandler. Falatovich then convinced 18 friends and relatives to invest, and then gave all the cash to Blaxican.

    The rapper’s defense of his expensive home an tastes? A “gift” from Falatovich is what he claimed on Friday, claiming ignorance of the scam.

    “I’m a dead man walking — I’ve got nothing left,” said the rapper.

    “They might as well finish me off quickly.”
