As June wraps up its last two weeks, the indie vs. mainstream is at an even balance. Today Blaq Poet offers up Blaq Poet Society, as a leak off the album “Bushmaster Music” 
with Vinnie Paz dropped last week and “Mortuary Music” leaked earlier in the month. Rapper turned dancefloor don Pitbull drops Planet Pit with a bonus track “Shake Señora Rmx” featuring Ludacris, Sean Paul & T-Pain. The following week brings the heat, as Big Sean’s Finally Famous finally arrives. Pete Rock & Smif-N-Wessun get Monumental and Beyonce’s 4 sets the stage for hubby Jay-Z to drop Watch the Throne with Kanye West on the 4th of July.
In some more indie news, Flint, Michigan’s blue collar scholar Jon Connor will drop his iTunes album Salvation on July 12th. Connor has been making waves in Hip Hop for the past year and just last week he dropped a track from Salvation titled “Broken Mirror” . OFWGKTA members Hodgy Beats and Left Brain, collectively known as MellowHype will do a re-release of Blackenedwhite on July 12th, and riding high off fellow Slaughterhouse Royce’s success, Crooked I will deliver Planet C.O.B.
