Former Outsidaz affiliate and Flipmode member Rah Digga will be speaking at a New York Public Library on overcoming life’s financial challenges, including surviving a 2009 fire, her antiques business, plans to run for political office and much more. The East Coast rhymer is one of the most respected emcees, regardless of gender.
This event, open to the public, is part of a financial literacy series called “Fame and Fortune?” that will be presented by the New York Public Library (NYPL) and Souleo Enterprises on June 4 at 5:30pm – 6:30pm. The series aims to engage residents of economically disadvantaged communities around the topic of financial empowerment through celebrity Q&A’s.
Other entertainers that will be engaging New York communities through the “Fame and Fortune?” series are Freddie Jackson, The Force MD’s, Federico Castelluccio, and Martha Walsh.
Last year Full Force, Meli’sa Morgan, and Christopher “Play” Martin of Hip Hop duo Kid’N Play contributed to the program.
Digga last released her album Classic in 2010, produced entirely by Nottz.
