Quando Rondo’s Attorney Cites Ray Charles & Led Zeppelin During Bond Hearing

Quando Rondo‘s attorney cited music legends Led Zepplin and Ray Charles as he attempted to make a case for his client to be released on bond following an arrest on drug charges.

According to Georgia news outlet WTOC 11, the Atlanta rapper made an appearance in court for a bond hearing on Friday (June 23) and submitted a letter of support from his label, Atlantic Records.

“He’s got the support of one of the greatest record labels in this country. The same record label as Led Zepplin and Ray Charles, that’s his label,” Rondo’s defense attorney Jonah Pine told the court. “They’ve provided a letter to us, it’s very heartfelt and talks about his career.”

As part of their argument for his bond, his attorneys say that ankle monitoring would be difficult due to the amount of travel required. However, the state countered that his alleged involvement in the Rollin’ 60s gang makes him dangerous and likely to run away.

“The Rollin’ 60s are currently one of the largest and most violent street gangs in Savannah. That man is a leader of it. That is a dangerous community,” said state attorney Christian Stolfe.

Judge Tammy Stokes has yet to make a decision on Rondo’s bond, but said she’s “taking all of the information presented by both sides and thinking it over.”

Quando was arrested on Friday (June 16) in Macon, GA. Officials told TMZ that the rapper (real name Tyquian Terrel Bowman) allegedly worked with up to 18 other individuals to engage in drug deals between October 2022 and June 2023.

Rondo was charged with “2 counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, 1 count of participating in criminal activity affiliated with a street gang, and 1 count of illegal use of a cell phone to facilitate a drug deal.”

He was taken off to Chatham County jail, where he remains as of this writing. A date for a decision on his bond has not yet been set.

Your honor, these two legendary rock groups, who actually wrote music and play instruments, who are all works te s or just dress of millions of dollars each in reality, not just brag about it when they’re lying. These guys who have had 40 plus years of a career. They never spoke about selling drugs or milking people, being members of gangs etc. my client is nothing like them, he never will be. I just wanted to bring them up because there is no defense or excuse for what my idiot client has done and will co tinir to do if allowed to walk these streets. He actually calls the streets “skreets” your honor. Seriously, I couldn’t make this shit up. Thanks.
