During an interview published today (October 28), Pusha T explained why he called “Dedication 5” “trash.”
“I’m really not even keeping that beef going,” Pusha said of his Lil Wayne criticism during an interview with vladtv.com. “I’m not. I just felt it was not to my taste level at all.”
Pusha also said that he was a fan of much of Lil Wayne’s work prior to the 2005’s Tha Carter II. Push was asked if he’s been a fan of Lil Wayne after Carter II.
“I get a little confused about the Carters,” Pusha T continued. “But I’m sure there was probably some good music in there as well.”
Pusha T was also asked about how he felt regarding Lil Wayne’s May 2012 Twitter post about him.
“I know I made a good record,” Pusha T said during his vladtv.com interview, explaining how he responded to Wayne’s tweet. “I know I made an awesome record, actually. ‘Exodus 23:1’ is probably…I’ve made the best and hardest records within the past two to three years. The best. [It’s] not even debatable. The hardest records. ‘Exodus 23:1’…It’s probably the hardest video. [It’s] not even to be debated. I just know I made a good record. That’s all.”
In September, Pusha explained why he made “Exodus 23:1” as a response to the Twitter update.
“I’m really just having fun with it,” Pusha T explained. “The thing is though, these guys got so many fans that when you make blanket statements like ‘F Pusha T’ on Twitter and all that type of stuff, you can’t just let things like that go. Because they got so many fans that by the time it gets quiet everybody gon’ start looking at you like, ‘Man, he just gets over on you,’ and so on and so on. So, it’s like I just play with it. I just toy with it. Totally just toy with it and have my fun with it. And then he’s sort of rapping bad so that doesn’t help. I’m good. He’s bad.”
Pusha T on Cloud 9 right now. Album is hard. Y’all should checkout thegrandreport, they got some good hip hop and viral videos on there
What does it say about an artist when all people care about is your opinion of other artists? Pusha should quit fielding these questions about Drake and Lil’ Wayne. He should force these interviewers to ask only about him and his offerings. ‘Til then, he’s losing. Good album, though.
agreed
MNIMN came and went without it being heralded as a classic. He failed miserably at the task of creating a worthwhile solo album and now his tired diatribes about his musical superiority come across as trite and unwarranted. Someone tell Pusha T to shut the fuck up and fall back.
Incorrect. He dropped one of the best solo albums of the year. The shit just didn’t sell well. And being named an “instant classic” doesn’t happen often. Only good kid maad city and Dark Fantasy reached that status immediately.
You gotta be fucking kidding me. “Instant Classic” is the most nonsense concept in this fucking game. “Came and went”…. it’s been fucking two weeks. I could give two shits about what anyone thinks about what I listen to, but your litmus for this shit is way fucking off. “No one has said this is the best album ever after it’s been out for two weeks so it’s trash”. Fuck outta here.
Those who thought that Good Kid Maad City and Dark Fantasy were instant classics are likely the same cornball faggot fans who thought Nicki Minaj spit the greatest verse of all time on Monster.
this dont even deserve a lmao, this dude is dilusional
he feelin his album a lil to much.. i mean this is coming from a person who was eagerly waiting MNIMN since he dropped the wrath of caine but turned out WOC was better than the album.. way better beats and ideas.. blocka alone was better than anything on MNIMN
MNIMN is a solid album. no wackness just nothing stands out and below avg production for being under kanyes wing. half the beats sounded the same like he went to the jungle tapped a few willow trees and congo sticks and made a beat. weak.
I’m proud of Pusha T, he dropped a major label allbum in 2013 without a pop collab or cross marketing gimmick he kept it Hipahop and lyrical.
None of the beats are formulaic and it’s not Hipster friendly it’s just street music with a few tracks that hoes in the club might gig to.
Pusha T has one of the best albums of the year, and he deserved more promotion than he got but his Boss is preoccupied with Love right now so it is what it is.
You forgot to mention he flopped hard.
sounds like BruthaDee
Kelly Rowland, Future, Chris Brown and the Dream are pop.
Drake had less pop features. Also NWTS > Pusha’s album.
Puhsa’s same old crack rap bullshit.
King Push, Suicide, Numbers On The Board and Nosetalgia are the only good songs. Pain would have been good if Future didn’t completely ruin the song by mumbling like a fucking retard with a dick in his ass!
He flopped compared to what and compared to who?
if his album is in the Top 20 best selling HipHop albums is it still a flop?
“Kelly Rowland, Future, Chris Brown and Dream are Pop”
Well if you want to call those R&B artists as “POP” then what do you call Skylar Grey, Pink, Fergie and Justin Timberlake?
Drake dont have to use POP features because he’s singing on damn near half the songs so he doesent need singers to come in and do his hooks.
Pusha at is a part of the resistance fighting to keep HipHop from being complete sugar coated and feminine.
funny cause hes signed to the most feminine dude in rap
And his Boss says Wayne is the best rapper on the planet. LOL
“Only good kid maad city and Dark Fantasy reached that status immediately”
Nobody human believes Good kid is a classic.
Truth.
your fav rappers all disagree
no human believes good kid isnt a classic unless your a pure hater.
ummm loads of people rate it as classic. There are “classic” rap albums I think are pure shit. There are “GOAT” status rappers I think are completely overrated. It’s all personal perception. Just because I think Reasonable Doubt is ridculously overhyped as Jay-Zs classic album, doesn’t mean my opinion is valid to other people. Just because I can’t nod my head to Pac, doesn’t deter from his legendary status. Get your head out of your ass.
uptil I saw the check 4 $7509, I be certain that my sister could actually receiving money parttime on their laptop.. there neighbour had bean doing this less than eleven months and resantly paid for the mortgage on there cottage and bourt themselves a Jaguar XJ. try here… http://smal.ly/s5gyx
This guy is all over the place…Lyricism is so on point yess…hook game is awful so he lacks the ability to make a solid song. He also said Yeezus album is way better than his and now he’s saying he’s made the best songs in recent years?? “My name is my name” would have been a classic if he didn’t have so many other names on the entire album.
blahblahblah
Kanye said Yeezus was better, not Pusha Ton
“ummm loads of people rate it as classic”
If you say so Mrs. Lamar.
“if his album is in the Top 20 best selling HipHop albums is it still a flop”?
Yes, when it sells 75k first week.

This. Nigga…. Always is talking some BULLSHIT… Start making some good music.. remember when all every article was about his opinion on wayne.. nd then his opinion of drake.. then his opinion of the both of them… stfu already Pusha T no one cares or agrees.. PUSHA ALBUM MUTHERFUCKER!@!!!!!
omg and once again he’s talking about wayne.. i didnt even notice wtf
Pac said Pusha T is trash and I agree.
ok first of all he didnt make the best music this year nor the last 3 years. second of all he always trys to go at wayne cause he is obviously jealous of the nigga. he has no valid points nor uses any valid points while dissing wayne. and who cares what his sales were lil wayne would sell more in 1 hour then he could in 1 year. and his shit will never be as good as C2 c3 or even C4.
no just no .
Kanye’s ways are rubbing off on Pusha and it shows with this asinine statement.
