Pusha T has quietly become the latest rapper to donate to Flint, Michigan’s current water crisis.
The G.O.O.D. Music President helped get 2,000 cases of water to the City of Flint on two semi-trailer trucks, according to MLive.
The publication reports that the rapper united with the Virginia-based Partners in the Community organization to “personally deliver the waters” last Thursday (January 28), starting at the Slidell Senior Residence Apartments on W. Carpenter Road.
While Pusha T sponsored one of the trucks, Dr. Melvin O. Marriner of Grove Baptist Church in Virginia paid for the second.
However, his contribution to the crisis is news he didn’t want made public, according to Lakeesha Atkinson of Partners in the Community.
“He’s very humble,” Atkinson told MLive. “He doesn’t do anything for recognition or for the spotlight.”
Pusha T joins a list of rappers who have thus far contributed in some way to Flint’s current water crisis.
