Pusha T’s upcoming album, My Name is My Name, is scheduled to be released through Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint and is slated to feature several notable artists.
“My Name is My Name [includes] production from Kanye West, The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, Joaquin Phoenix and features from Rick Ross, Future, Young Jeezy, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Pharrell Williams singing,” Pusha T said in an interview with Pepsi.
“I’ve got the album of the year,” Pusha said. “Easy.”
In the Pepsi interview, Pusha T also discussed his work with fashion and Hip Hop, talking about his line, Play Cloths.

Pusha T’s solo debut, My Name is My Name, is set to be released October 8. The album’s cover art was released August 30.

Damn, everybody is saying how they got album of the year…Schoolboy, Pusha T etc. Drop the album first, then we will see what people say. I don’t doubt that this is gonna be great album, but it will flop. Pusha will do about 60-70k.
Doing 60-70k wouldn’t be flopping for Pusha. Flopping isn’t low sales it’s not meeting expectations. His album has gotten little promotion so the expectation is not him coming out with Jay-Z numbers.

You know they keep claiming that they will have best albums but they forget one thing which is that they might have the best commercial album and not the best rap album because they seem to forget that rap is very competitive. In these days a successful commercial album is the best rap album for these rappers.

Weak features. Ross, 2 Chainz and Jeezy are so far under his level. Future has a good chorus on Pain so i’ll let him off the hook (no pun intended). I guess he didn’t want anybody outshining him. I like Big Sean but these features devalue the album.
