“I feel like I’ve known the n-gga forever,” he began at the 39:35 mark. “I think I started growing an appreciation for him as I got older ’cause it’s like— I never was a super fan of their music.

“Like I said, I grew up in Atlanta, so I think when I started building taste, my palate was a little bit different. So when I got like 14, 15, I kind of got into they stuff, and I was like, ‘Oooh, this n-gga really rap.'”

“Goated” was the first single from Nasaan’s debut full-length project, ERROR 404. Soon after the video’s release, he took to Facebook and shared some thoughts the song as his dad.

“The release of this video got pushed back (because of other stuff), for its scheduling to be the day i lost my father 18 years ago,” he wrote. “this feels like such a pivotal make or break moment for me and my career mentally and all this says to me is that my father wanted to stand alongside me for this journey, win or lose.
