Playboi Carti has given fans a rare glimpse of him in dad mode in his new mini-documentary Dear O.
The short two-and-a-half-minute film was posted on social media by videographer Phoenix on Wednesday (December 20) and is made up of home video footage of Carti spending time with his son Onyx, who was born in 2020.

The mini-doc sees father and son venture to the beach, take a trip to Disneyland and have a running race in a park, among other wholesome scenes.

Onyx was born to Playboi Carti and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea in April 2020, although the couple split up before his birth.
Iggy has repeatedly accused Carti of being an absent father. Shortly after the release of his Whole Lotta Red album in December 2020, she put the rapper on blast for cheating on her during her pregnancy and not spending Christmas with his son.

“Too bad you got an album out but can’t even come to Christmas with your own son,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Imagine not flying out your family on Christmas but you have the girl you cheated on my my entire pregnancy at your album party and magically me and my son can’t come for Christmas any more? TRASH.”
She added: “This man had a whole family vacation to planned 48hrs ago & I hope this message gets to you girl. Although you hid in a whole closet from my house keeper so it’s not like you have any dignity I guess.”
Azalea also accused Carti of missing their son’s pregnancy and playing video games instead.
“This man was in philly playing PS5 mid pandemic the day my son was born even tho it was a scheduled c section,” she said. “I had onyx alone completely cause he was my only visitor approved with Covid. We lived together at that time. And even tho onyx was a PLANNED baby, that we both wanted.

“On some weirdo shit he has still refused to sign his birth certificate. He’s 9months old. Won’t even give his son he claims to care so much about his own last name.”
Playboi Carti recently revealed that he also has a daughter, making the announcement in his latest single “H00DBYAIR” which was released earlier this week.

“I was 24 when I had lil’ Onyx (then I had a daughter, I got a daughter too)/ 27 when I had Eve/ Now I can finally sleep,” he raps on the Cardo and KP Beats-produced song, appearing to confirm his daughter is named Eve.
Given Carti only turned 27 in September, the timeline suggests that Eve was born in the last few months. It has not been publicly confirmed who the mother of the child is.
