Pigeon John’s New Projects

Not too long ago, underground rapper Pigeon John released his first album on Quannum Projects. His time with Quannum is not up and the Nebraska/Los Angeles emcee is readying his next projects on the label. Up first is a remix LP titled Pigeon John’s Jacuzzi After Party. This is a remix album to his debut on Quannum, Pigeon John and the Summertime Pool Party.

This remix album is set to include tracks from Amp Live of Bay Area crew Zion I. It will also feature production from Anticon‘s Jel and friends like Cookbook and DJ Rif.

Recently, Pigeon released a statement about the remix EP.

“Quannum Projects is putting together a great little remix ep out this Spring 2008. We brought a fantastic group of producers to kill it on 6 songs. Amp Live of Zion I remixes ‘Money Back Guarantee’, CookBook and DJ Rif rehash ‘As We Know It’ and ‘One For The…’ Featuring Brother Ali, Anitcon’s Jel kills ‘Weight Of The World’, NYC’s very own Cassestes Won’t Listen breathes new life into ‘Brand New Day’ and Lynn Ness makes a new bouncing version of ‘Freaks! Freaks!,’ he noted via statement.

This is also following a mixtape-type release (not off Quannum) that recently came out. Pigeon John Featuring Pigeon John 2 was released, which is a mixture of songs that have been previously released on other artists’ albums. These songs, which feature Pigeon, were compiled to make the second installment of Featuring.

Currently, PJ is working on the follow up to his Quannum debut and hitting the road.
