N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN have cleared the air regarding Chris Rock’s statement in his new standup special that they called Will Smith a “bitch.”

In a segment from an upcoming Drink Champs episode with special guest Joe Budden, the hosts reflected on Rock’s Selective Outrage, during which the comedian claimed the Drink Champs crew called Will Smith a “bitch” for his infamous Oscars slap.

According to N.O.R.E and EFN, Chris Rock’s comments couldn’t be further from the truth as neither of them could recall referring to Smith by the derogatory term. However, the former admitted that he “loved” the shout-out.

“You called Will Smith a bitch?” N.O.R.E. asked EFN, who replied: “No, man! That was you! Nah, nah. Nobody here called him a bitch.”

N.O.R.E. then turned to Joe Budden and asked: “Was it you, Joe?” to which he answered: “No, it certainly wasn’t me … I don’t agree with anything he did, but I’m not calling another man a bitch. I’m not going to do that, but Chris Rock said y’all did that, Drink Champs.”

DJ EFN then mentioned how Drink Champs was one of the last platforms Chris Rock named, but N.O.R.E. explained how he liked the way the comedian included them.

“I love the way he named us, because he put us in the rapper category,” he added. “Let’s make some noise for Chris Rock, God damnit!”

Chris Rock’s Selective Outrage has been making its rounds since it premiered this past weekend, and it’s been drawing all sorts of reactions from people. In his routine, Rock took aim at Will Smith, Michael Jackson and several other big-name celebrities such as Elon Musk and Meghan Markle.

One of the jokes addressing the infamous Oscars slap saw Chris Rock reveal that Will Smith inspired the name of the special. According to the comedian, Will directed his anger over his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s “entanglements” toward him, which led to him slapping him.

“Will Smith practices ‘Selective Outrage,’” Rock explained. “Everybody who really knows, knows I had nothing to do with that shit. I didn’t have any ‘entanglements.’ His wife was fucking her son’s friend. I normally would not talk about this shit.”

“I have no idea why two talented people would do something that fucking lowdown,” he continued. “We’ve all been cheated on. Everybody in here been cheated on. None of us has ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us… on television. She hurt him way more than he hurt me.”

Chris Rock went on to tell the crowd that he attempted to reach out to Will Smith and offer his support following his now-infamous sit-down on Pinkett’s Red Table Talk.

“Everybody in the world called him a bitch,” he said, later referencing The Breakfast Club, Drink Champs, and other talk shows that poked fun at the situation. “I tried to call the muthafucka. I tried to call that man and give him my condolences. He didn’t pick up for me. Everybody called him a bitch and who does he hit? Me.”
