NLE Choppa has taken some very public Ls from women in Hollywood as of late, and he’s admitted that his behavior probably prompted Ice Spice to change her number.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club on Wednesday (April 12), the “Go Stupid” rapper revealed that things were going well between him and the “Princess Diana” hitmaker in the beginning — but that she suddenly stopped communicating with him, and that she ultimately changed her digits.

“Aw man, me and Ice Spice — we were just trying to make a song,” he said to Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. “On the real.”

When Charlamagne pressed further, asking if NLE Choppa was the reason Ice Spice changed her phone number, the Memphis-born rapper tried to deflect before ultimately admitting his role in the matter.

“I mean, she ain’t change it on me!” he said. “People change their number. Was I part [of] the reason? I don’t know. Probably. You never know.”

Take a listen to the interview below:

In March, NLE Choppa spoke candidly about shooting his shot at the “Munch” hitmaker on an episode of REVOLT’s The Jason Lee Show.

“Ice Spice beautiful, man,” Choppa said, adding that Ice Spice’s popularity was partially due to her being “marketable.” Lee then asked if Choppa ever slid into Spice’s DM’s.

“I got her number, I hit her personally, we talking about music,” Choppa continued. “I don’t text her no more. She changed her number so I like from a distance. She do a lot of big things…Would I date her?…If she wanna go.”

In that same episode, NLE Choppa revealed that he’d been trying to holla at Meagan Good — and when her name came up in a game of Smash or Pass, a grinning Choppa couldn’t have been more enthusiastic about the “smash” option. “I been waiting on her! Yes!” he exclaimed.

Wasting no time, Jason Lee whipped out his phone to call Meagan up. “You got Meagan number?!” Choppa asked as Lee called. “Aye on me, I been wanting to take her on a dinner. I wanna get some roses planned. I wanted to do like some real – some shit I never did before for Meagan Good. You know, I could be a preacher, all that. Whatever she want me to be.”

After the actor picked up, Jason explained the situation and passed the call along to his guest. Once Meagan greeted him and asked how he was doing, Choppa launched into his pitch. Unfortunately, it didn’t last very long.

“I’m extremely blessed,” NLE Choppa began. “Um I was just telling…” But before he could get his next words out, Good hung up.

However, on Thursday (April 13), the recently-divorced actor set the record straight.

“No, we actually got disconnected,” she told TMZ. “My mom called, and then I called back because he’s a very sweet young man. People were trying to drag him and make it seem like he was simp. No. He was very, very sweet, very respectful. So, I did call back. I did not play the hell out of him.”

The interviewer then asked what really happened between the two of them. “He’s a little too young for me,” the Shazam! actor answered. “But, I mean, it was still flattering. Definitely flattered.”

On the same day Good talked to TMZ, NLE Choppa took to Twitter to respond, pleading that age shouldn’t be a factor. “Baby you ain’t too old , I ain’t too young, we just right in Gods eyes,” he said. “Can we get a AMEN ? @MeaganGood.”
