Nicki Minaj has tapped back into her British alter ego as she continues to promote her remix of Ice Spice’s “Princess Diana.”
In a series of tweets in her best British accent on Monday (April 17), the Queens rapper joked that she’d be attending King Charles’ coronation next month with a special seat right next to Prince Harry.

“I’ll be attending the coronation. Thank you. Stream #PrincessDiana until I land,” she wrote with a British flag emoji. “scones on dekk. Whole lotta gang sh!t. Fank you. Proper excited, really. Yes, it appears there was one seat open right next to Harry. I rang his telly & said: ‘You be Harry Potter, & I’ll be Hermoine.’ We both loffed. Met him on the jet and now here we are [wave emoji] Ttyl.”
For extra flair, Minaj added a voice note for her Barbz.

“Rather excited really. Well, I got the news earlier this morning,” she said in her accent. “I was told that there was a seat that opened up right next to Harry so I rang up his telly immediately. I said, ‘You be Harry Potter and I’ll be Hermoine.’ And he started laughing and we laughed and laughed and laughed.”
She continued: “Anyway, I’m on the G – Harry, is this a G5 or a G6? Have they prepared my landing strip? We need to notify the Barbz of where we’re landing so that they could be outside waiting for me. And when we get back, make sure to call up… Yes. Make sure she handles the press on all this. Queen shit. Brrr!”
The remix of the Like…? single comes after the 23-year-old Bronx rapper was shouted out by the Pinkprint rapper following her Dazed magazine cover.
“GAG!!! ‘The people’s PRINCESS.’ Catch it!!!” Nicki wrote at the time. She also quoted Ice’s “Princess Diana” lyrics back to her in the comments, making the link-up very fitting.
The music video sees both rappers donning an entirely pink wardrobe as they get up close and personal with one another in a Barbie-inspired bedroom.
Outside of the collab, Nicki Minaj most recently dropped off her new song “Red Ruby [Da Sleeze],” which she confirmed in an interview would not serve as the lead single off her forthcoming follow-up to her 2018 album Queen.

“‘Red Ruby [Da Sleeze],’ I dropped it as a itty-bitty just something,” she said while premiering the song on the Stationhead app. “’Cause I know it’s gon’ go off on tour, it’s gon’ go off on y’all. It’s just rapping. But the album, obviously, I have to drop my official single for the album. ‘Red Ruby’ is not the official single for the album.”
