Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday 2 has been projected to be one of the best-selling albums of her career.

According to Hits Daily Double, the brand-new album by the “Starships” rapper is projected to have first-week sales of between 170,000 and 190,000 album-equivalent units.

The outlet is also calling the project “the biggest female rap debut of 2023.”

These predictions of major sales line up with Nicki’s big claims about what Pink Friday 2 would do when it finally hit the streets, which she did late last month.

Talking with Vogue last month, Nicki Minaj revealed that she went back to her proverbial roots while creating the effort, which came out on her birthday, December 8.

“When I look back at a lot of my music, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, where was the me in it?’” she said to the venerated fashion outlet. “So for this album, I went back to the old game plan.”

She continued: “The idea that saying something like that [referring to the lyric, “I’m fighting for the girls who never thought they could win,” from “I’m The Best” on Pink Friday] could give hope to people — that optimistic outlook is something I think I got away from.”

A tour is expected to follow the album’s release, and Minaj recently told fans to expect a completely different experience this time around and that it will be “greater than every other tour combined.”
