Nicki Minaj has returned with her first single of 2023, with the Lumidee-sampling “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” now available on streaming services.
The Queens icon peppers the Go Grizzly, Tate Kobang and Cheeze Beatz-produced single with hard-hitting rhymes which hears her defend her husband’s checkered past and she lets everyone know they could never walk a day in her shoes.

“Married a shooter case you n-ggas tried to breathe loud/ Boom your face off, then I tell him, ‘Cease fire’/ I’m the AB side,” she raps.
Some fans believe the next pair of bars out of Nicki’s latest alter-ego are subliminal shots aimed in the direction of Megan Thee Stallion: “Seven-hundred on ’em horses when we fixin’ to leave/ But I don’t fuck with horses since Christopher Reeve.”

While there’s no confirmation following “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” all signs seem to point to the New York native officially gearing up for the follow-up to her 2018 album, Queen.
The 40-year-old mother of one, who was named the 10th greatest rapper on Billboard’s Top 50 all-time list, has announced the return of her explosive Queen Radio show, which made its Amazon debut on Friday (March 3) at 7 p.m. ET.
