Nicki Minaj has been accused of throwing shade at Ice Spice by appearing to ignore a compliment on an Instagram post.
On the social media platform, Nicki posted a picture of herself from nearly 20 years ago before she rose to superstardom, captioning it: â17 years ago [ribbon emoji] Crimped my own hair [tick emoji] Did my own makeup [tick emoji] 2 padded bras to make my boobs look bigger [tick emoji] Barbz!!!!â

The throwback post was lapped up by fans and fellow artists alike, including Ice Spice who jumped into the comments section and left a smiling face with heart-eyes emoji.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Nicki liked several other comments â including from the likes of Sexyy Red, Akbar V and Kim Petras â but not Iceâs.
The Bronx rap starâs comment is no longer visible, meaning she either deleted it or Nicki removed it, though the two are still following each other on Instagram.

Another wrote: âShe is the only one without a like [crying face emoji] Nicki is sick.â

A third user came to Iceâs defense and claimed that Nicki had grown envious of the âMunchâ hitmaker: âSheâs taking Nickiâs spot. She already won. Nicki is 40+⊠her run has to end just like Beyonces and all the greats.â
Ice Spice recently admitted that she does not have the closest relationship with the Young Money legendRolling Stone. âWeâre mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.â
Ice also elaborated on text messages of hers that were leaked earlier this year in which she expressed frustration at Nicki over the business details of their âBarbie Worldâ collab.

âI donât really think she cares about shit like that coming from a random girl,â the Y2K! rapper said of Minaj. âBut what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations. I could have chose different words.
âBut at the end of the day, regardless of how I felt in that moment, [Nicki] is still somebody I respect as an artist, and Iâm always going to admire everything sheâs done for me and the culture.â

In the leaked text messages, Ice Spice branded Nicki âungrateful and delusionalâ as they attempted to work out the finer details of their collaboration for the Barbie film soundtrack.
Spice also claimed that Minaj was âjealousâ of her because she owned her own master recordings, unlike the âSuper Bassâ star.
