Nicki Minaj‘s past and present converged as her Pink Friday 2 Tour rolled through Miami on Sunday night (October 6).

During the Kaseya Center show, the Young Money rapper brought her husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty out on stage for a steamy moment while she performed her Pink Friday 2 hit “Super Freaky Girl.”

Petty, who has faced much scrutiny from his wife’s detractors for being a convicted sex offender, took a seat in the middle of the stage as Nicki danced suggestively in front of him.

The “Super Bass” star ended the racy sequence by sitting on her husband’s lap, with the couple enjoying a quick romantic cuddle before Nicki began performing her next track.

While the moment itself made waves on social media, it was made all the more interesting thanks to a certain attendee in the crowd: Nicki’s former longtime boyfriend Safaree.

The Love & Hip Hop personality didn’t appear to be too bothered by the romantic scenes involving his ex, though, as he was filmed happily dancing and rapping along to her performance throughout the night.

Safaree later addressed his attendance at the show on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “I’m proud no cap
 a lot of yalll will never understand but there is no malice in me
 I’m proud.”

Despite their relationship coming to end a decade ago, Safaree recently admitted that seeing Nicki Minaj go on to date Meek Mill brought about a “dark time” for him.

“When me and Nicki first broke up and she got with Meek and they were, like, the biggest in the world and we was all beefing and shit. You gotta think about — I had two of the biggest people in the world against me,” he said on the We in Miami podcast.

“I was there the whole day so I was like, ‘Damn. Did that happen when I left to go?’ I must’ve left for like an hour, two hours, and I think that’s when that scene happened.”
