In a lawsuit filed last week, Garrett alleges that Minaj assaulted him in her dressing room in April 2023 following a Pink Friday 2 Tour stop in the Motor City.
He claims he was attacked by the “Anaconda” rapper after she learnt that he had sent somebody else to collect her prescriptions.

Nicki allegedly hit Garrett with an open palm before smacking his wrist, causing him to drop various documents.
The lawsuit states the blow to the face caused Garrett’s head to “swing backwards as his hat flew off his head,” while his wrist was left “throbbing.”

He also claims the Young Money star launched into a vicious verbal attack in which she said to him: “Are you fucking crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your fucking mind and if my husband were here he would knock out your fucking teeth.
“You’re a dead man walking. You just fucked up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it.”

Garrett further claims that the incident made him fear for his safety and that he locked himself in a bathroom for several hours afterwards and was left stranded in Detroit.
He says he was also notified that he would not be continuing to work for Minaj after the incident and attempted to file a police report after leaving the city.
Nicki, through her lawyer, has denied the alllegations and claims that Garrett never worked as her manager.
“At this time, no complaint has been served upon Mrs. Petty [Minaj’s legal married name], and therefore, we are unaware of the specific allegations,” her attorney Judd Burstein told TMZ.

“However, if the lawsuit is as reported by TMZ, it is completely false and frivolous. We are confident that the matter brought by this ex assistant will be resolved swiftly in Mrs. Petty’s favor.”
Garrett is suing for assault, battery and “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and is seeking unspecified damages.
