New Album And DVD Celebrating The Legacy Of Eazy E

    It was seven years ago that Eric “Eazy E” Wright passed away from AIDS complications. Eazy was not only a gangsta rap pioneer and an intricate part of one of hip hop’s most influential groups, but one of the first black label owner. Eazy’s Ruthless Records set new standards for independent labels.

    Ruthless/Epic Records released his posthumous DVD and EP, “Impact Of A Legend” yesterday. It is produced and composed by Rhythm D. The EP is enhanced and features a demo version of the game “Hittin’ Switchez” which Eazy was working on before his untimely death. The DVD is essentially a documentary that features interviews, live performances and videos. Here is the tracklisting for the EP, look for “Switchez” as the first single.
