Nelly seems like the epitome of a proud boyfriend given his latest declaration of love for his girlfriend, Ashanti.
On Sunday (February 4), the “Ride Wit Me” rapper could be seen on his partner’s Instagram Stories as he gently slapped her inner thighs and said: “Do you see these thighs? She be putting them thangs on you, boy, them thangs. I said, ‘damn, I love you til death do us part.'”
A reshare of the clip by The Shade Room elicited a mixed response from fans, with some finding it endearing while others deemed it cringeworthy.

“Cringe and they are too old trying to prove a relationship. He a whole grandfather,” one user wrote, while another added: “That man literally said in this video that he loves her til death and y’all still hating saying he not that into her. I feel like Ashanti is one of those people that don’t deserve the hate because she so low key and unproblematic.”
Another person questioned the ongoing rumors about the couple expecting, asking: “Am I the I only one that doesn’t think she’s pregnant?”

The couple’s show of love comes on the heels of the “Foolish” singer adding fuel to rumors about her being pregnant with Nelly’s child. During a My 00’s Playlist Tour stop in Corpus Christi, Texas over the weekend, Ashanti appeared with what some interpreted as a discreetly concealed baby bump.
In a clip shared via Instagram, the 43-year-old can be seen performing “Mesmerize” alongside Ja Rule. Many fans speculated that she was trying to hide a baby bump under her oversized, embellished t-shirt dress with thigh-high boots.
“Is that a belly!?” one person wrote, while another shared: “I think it’s safe to say when an artist starts dressing like Billie elish .. they got something cooking [sigh emoji] but we can respect her privacy until she ready [shrug emoji].”
Rumors alleging there’s a bun in the oven began to run rampant after the pair shared a flirtatious moment at Nelly’s Black White Ball in December. In the clip, the duo could be seen rubbing Ashanti’s stomach on stage.

About the power couple getting back together, Ja Rule recently revealed he had a hunch Ashanti “wanted that old thing back.”
“Her and my wife, they do their ha-ha ki-ki-ing, right? And so, you can tell sometimes when women want that old thing back,” the Murder Inc. hitmaker said during an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show. “I don’t wanna blow sis up! But the chemistry was there. And I think for both of them, it came back quick. I think they missed each other. The way they clicked just came back so fast.”
