Nelly and Boosie Badazz voiced their frustrations with boxing following the judge’s decision to give Devin Haney a successful title defense and victory against Vasiliy Lomachenko in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Loma fell in a unanimous, yet controversial, decision from the judges at the main event on Saturday night (May 20) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Sin City as Haney defended his undisputed lightweight championship.

While Boosie won money betting on Haney, the Baton Rouge icon wouldn’t let his gambling blind him from what he thought was a Lomachenko win.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith called Haney’s victory a “bullshit decision” and Nelly said he was done with the sport of boxing altogether.
“I’m just letting y’all know I am done with boxing,” Nelly stated on Instagram matter-of-factly. “They will never get another muthafuckin’ dime out of me. This is a travesty. I am done with boxing.”

“Devin Haney is a very talented boxer. I have nothing against that man, much respect. He was not the better man today. At most, that man got a draw. At most. That man got robbed.”
All three judges scored the bout in favor of Haney (116-112, 115-113, 115-113) as the 24-year-old moved to 30-0 with 15 knockouts and unified four championship belts.

NBA star Damian Lillard didn’t agree that Loma was robbed in the bout, but could have seen it being scored a draw or a slight edge to either side.
“Great for Devin to learn in a win as opposed to a loss,” Dame wrote. “I had it a draw or 115-113 either way. Sure he was drained like a mf… might be time to go to 40… this wasn’t a robbery close fight and some ppl didn’t agree w the decision.”
Loma, 35, refused to comment on the polarizing decision and was complimentary of Haney in the ring post-fight.
“Before I think he was a little better,” Lomachenko said. “But right now, he’s a tough fighter, a good fighter, but not a pound-for-pound fighter.”
