Ne-Yo has not made amends with his ex-wife Crystal Renay despite them being seen side by side taking photos and appearing to be cordial at a recent event.

According to TMZ, the former couple recently attended the grand opening of Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles in Atlanta. Both Ne-Yo and Renay co-own the budding franchise, which they started in 2021 and they were both out celebrating the third location’s launch.

Per TMZ, both celebrities have contractual obligations that require them to show up at certain events for the sake of Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles.

The couple went through a tumultuous break-up in 2022 after Renay filed for divorce after learning Ne-Yo had fathered a child outside of their relationship.

According to TMZ, Renay filed the paperwork at an Atlanta courthouse saying their marriage was “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.”

She also aired out her issues with Ne-Yo in a since-deleted Instagram post in July last year. “8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every last one of them!” she wrote.

“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist,” she continued. “I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”

Certain things can be forgiven. God will forgive and so will I.”

When asked to clarify that she’d be able to forgive Ne-Yo, she said: “The Christian in me has to one day, but I’m okay.”
