NBA YoungBoy is gearing up to drop a new album ahead of his impending release from prison.

In a post to the rapper’s company Instagram page, his team announced a project titled More Leaks will arrive on March 7, with the first single available on Friday (February 28).

“last project before TOP is back,” they noted in the caption.

Judging by the name, the project appears to be comprised of older songs that have leaked to the web at some point or another.

The album follows December 2024’s I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders, which was YB’s first album of the year.

Last month, it was announced that NBA YoungBoy is set to be released from prison on July 27.

The controversial rapper previously agreed to a plea deal for a gun possession charge, as well as his involvement in a prescription medication fraud scheme.

The deal was privately agreed last September and saw YoungBoy forced to admit that he was in possession of several illegal firearms when shooting a music video in his native Baton Rouge in 2020.

The 25-year-old initially made an agreement with the government that resulted in him being sentenced to 23 months behind bars, five years of probation, and a $200,000 fine.

He also had to give up the guns in question to the authorities.

That deal appears to have since been amended, with YoungBoy receiving a sentencing reduction to include time served up until May 2024, meaning he will now be free this summer.

YB previously pled guilty to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of third-degree felony forgery and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct.

Because his plea was a part of a larger plea deal, the four felony charges were reduced to Class A Misdemeanors, resulting in a $25,000 fine and zero prison time.

In his sentencing, the judge noted that he wanted to give the rapper a chance to flourish as he was already awaiting sentencing on federal gun charges at the time.

“I’ve seen so many times where you have young men and women who have a lot of talent and potential. They can be robbed of that potential when they start to really struggle with their addictions,” Judge Spencer Walsh told YoungBoy. “I don’t want that for you.

“I’m sure that in your future, once you’re done with your federal prison time, you can be really successful on federal probation and have a really bright future where you can reach your full potential in every aspect of your life. Best of luck to you, Mr. Gaulden.”
