NBA YoungBoy has some words for Joe Budden after he criticized his “Stop the Violence” campaign.
The Baton Rouge, Lousiana native responded via his Never Broke Again record label’s Instagram account on Wednesday (February 8) after Budden claimed during a recent episode of his titular podcast that YoungBoy isn’t going to keep up his promise of peace.
The former Slaughterhouse MC scoffed at the 23-year-old’s surprise pivot to promoting anti-violence messages, saying he doesn’t believe “one word.” Budden also mocked YoungBoy’s recent Billboard photoshoot, which was captured in Utah where he’s currently under house arrest.
“I don’t believe one fuckin’ word of any of that shit,” he said. “I laughed every time that shit popped up on my phone in the black and white looking at the fucking snow with the nice clothes on. Get the fuck outta here.”
NBA YoungBoy caught wind of Budden’s comments and left a cryptic message for him that has left fans wondering what the enigmatic star is plotting.
“Tell @joebudden ‘Don’t try this at home,’ who ready?,” read the caption under a photo of himself resting his head on his hand.
This situation between Joe Budden and NBA YoungBoy stems from comments the Last Slimeto rapper made in his Billboard cover story, in which he vowed to no longer promote violence in his music.
“I think about how many lives I actually am responsible for when it comes to my music,” he said. “How many girls I got feeling like if you don’t go about a situation that your boyfriend’s bringing on you in his way, you’re wrong? How many people have put this shit in their ears and actually went and hurt someone?”
He added: “Or how many kids felt like they needed to tote a gun and walked out the house and toted it the wrong way? Now he’s fixing to sit there and do years of his life that he can’t get back.”
Despite some not feeling his face turn, NBA YoungBoy appears to be in good spirits since being placed on house arrest in October 2021. In fact, he recently called it “the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“This is the best thing that ever happened to me,” he told Billboard. “I’m very scared right now. It’s just natural. I’m not big on people. I never knew why once I walked on the stage, I could get it done and leave — but I am terrified of people. People are cruel. This is a cruel place.
He added: “You’ve got to be thankful for it. It’s very beautiful, you know? There’s so much you can experience inside of it. But it is a very cruel place. And it’s not my home.”
We don’t believe you, you need more people.
I believe him yo, I don’t know why but I do.
“laughed every time that shit popped up on my phone in the black and white looking at the fucking snow with the nice clothes on. Get the fuck outta here.”
Loooooooool somebody tell Joe to ATS him in his amiri hat and lipgloss rants except your interviewing yourself and this young star is being interviewed by a popular publication. Bet your house if nba did a interview with Joe Joe would kiss his ass for 3 hours flat

Stop the violence only happens when you change aspects of the culture.
