2K Sports has
outdone themselves after last years star studded NBA 2K6 game soundtrack. Just like last years edition they have
gone with a 100% hip-hop line up, tapping some of the games finest to rhyme to
the bouncing ball. Among those rocking the mic are Ghostface Killah, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, E-40, Lupe Fiasco,
Aceyalone, Rhymefest, Heiro, Zion I, Fabolous, Slim Thug, Dilated Peoples, Chali 2na,
and San Quinn.
To add to the party, they’ve tapped the immensely talented Dan The Automator to produce the entire
LP. Most noted for his helming Kool
Keith’s classic Dr. Octagon, The Automator has also made critically
acclaimed albums with Prince Paul as
the Handsome Boy Modeling School, Deltron 3030 with Del
and produced the first Gorillaz
album.

work with Dan The Automater to
create original beats and production for the NBA 2K7 soundtrack. Dan’s
noted for his production skills, but he is also a huge sports fan with solid
gaming skills. He gets it and brings it like few others,” said Tim Rosa, brand director at 2K Sports.
The album drops on September 19!
