Nas & Karl Kani Set To Drop “Escobar Season” Collection Next Month

Legacy Hip Hop fashion designer Karl Kani has been teasing a new collection that is set to drop September 30 via their website for the past few weeks.

There now seems to be more clarity as Nas announced a new collaboration between his clothing line, HSTRY, and the enduring brand via Instagram yesterday, August 27.

The collection, which Nas revealed is called Escobar Season, appears to include a jacket and two shirts beaming with a 1990’s aesthetic. As well as being available on both brand’s websites, it’s going to be available in Urban Outfitters stores across North America.

Nas famously modeled for Karl Kani back in 1996 — a piece of Nas trivia that Jay-Z pointed out in “Takeover.” Many superstars modeled for the brand in the 90s, such as Tupac, Biggie Smalls, and Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

Since staging a rebirth of the brand back in 2016 — capitalizing on the rise of streetwear — many younger artists like Jhené Aiko, Dave East, Swae Lee, A$AP Rocky, and PnB Rock have either been seen in campaigns or have been captured rocking Kani.
