Nas lands his
third No. 1 rank on The Billboard 200
this week with Hip Hop Is Dead. Of
his previous albums, the only other two reaching this feet were 1996’s It Was Written and 1999’s I
Am.
Nas’ first
release under the Def Jam imprint
moved 355,000 copies during its first week where as his last effort, Street’s Disciple, peaked at No. 5 on
the charts.
Hip Hop Is Dead in
stores now (obviously).
