The theatrical trailer for the N.W.A Straight Outta Compton biopic has been released, as have the official Straight Outta Compton movie posters of N.W.A members Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella.
In the film, which is due August 14, Eazy-E is played by Jason Mitchell, Ice Cube is portrayed by O’Shea Jackson Jr., Dr. Dre is played by Corey Hawkins, MC Ren is portrayed by Aldis Hodge and DJ Yella played by Neil Brown Jr.
Even though N.W.A’s material was released on Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records, the rapper-businessman passed away in 1995 due to complications from AIDS and, thus, was not involved in making the Straight Outta Compton movie.
Nonetheless, Ice Cube, said last month that it seems as though Eazy-E was involved in the project.
“Working on the movie, it’s like we’ve been engulfed in Eazy-E for the last seven years,” Ice Cube said at the time. “So, it seems like he’s right here still.”
