Mozzy has thanked Killer Mike for the motivation to keep pushing forward in life no matter the situation.

The Sacramento native and Run The Jewels rapper linked up recently and shared kind words for one another on the heels of Mozzy’s standout appearance on the poignant “SHED TEARS” off Mike’s Michael album.

“Welcome home,” Mike said to Mozzy who was arrested shortly after a shooting involving someone from his crew in Kansas.

Mozzy then gave Killer Mike his flowers, saying: “Congratulations and much continued success. I’m excited to get back to work and be with my people. I appreciate you for the alley-oop. You know I be struggling it’s a fight every day to keep going or transition into something else.”

He continued: “But to just see how they embracing you and that Grammy is just a refreshing motivation like to keep going. Stay stubborn about it.”

Mozzy is up for his first Grammy Award thanks to his verse on Michael,which will compete for Best Rap Album honors in February.

As for Mozzy, the CMG rapper was released from jail in May after serving 10 months behind bars in a federal gun case.

The conviction stemmed from an incident last January when officers pulled him over in Culver City, California on a traffic stop.
