Travis Barker and DJ AM’s plane crash has garnered attention and prayers from fans. Chris Baker was among those who passed in that tragic accident. Baker, who was Travis Barker’s
personal assistant and close friend, was also a friend of many in the
industry. A few of those he was close with have recently shared their
thoughts on his legacy.
“I still can’t believe he is gone. He was a person that was
always smiling, always happy and always cracking jokes. He was not just
Travis’ best friend — he was everybody’s best friend,” Lil Jon told MTV. “He
was one of the coolest, nicest and caring people I knew. He was always
trying to make sure everybody was okay. It’s a tragedy when you lose
people like this. All I keep thinking about is his son. He looks just
like his father and already is a star.”
The Game, who recently worked with Barker, also spoke on what Baker meant to him personally.
“Lil Chris was like a brother to me — I loved
him like a brother and he loved me like one. His memory is forever
implanted into my heart. There will not be a day I live where I don’t
think of my brother,” he told MTV recently, before sharing his message for Travis. “Travis, I love you too, homie. See you soon. Your pain is my pain.”
Bobby Hundreds of The Hundreds also shared his thoughts on the loss of Lil Chris and others as well as the injuries to Barker and AM in a message on his site.
“There is not much to say, but we did feel as if we should express our sorrow, and pay our condolences to both Travis and Adam
and their loved ones as they endure this horrific turn of events. As
stunned as I was to hear about this tragedy, I knew that both Adam and Travis
had to have survived, considering the types of people they are, both
fighters, who have surmounted so many obstacles in their lives to get
to where they’re at today. So, once more, they shall overcome. …And
to Lil Chris and the rest of the fallen, may angels lead you in.”
Earlier this week, Travis‘ clothing company Famous Stars and Straps released a statement and informed fans of a memorial fund that was established for those who passed in the accident.
“With heavy hearts we offer our deepest condolences to their
family and friends. They will remain in our thoughts and prayers. The
Chris Baker Memorial Fund and the Charles Still Memorial Fund have been
established for the benefit of Chris’ and Charles’ families. Donations
may be sent to the respective funds at the following address:
