More News Bits (Pretty Ricky, Superhead & Michael Jackson)

Pretty Ricky is in need of a new member. Pleasure, one of the members, left the group in public fashion by announcing the seperation at an award show. Nevertheless, the group is still going and they may get a new member soon.

“Pleasure, you know, he’s not in the group anymore,” member Baby Blue told MTV recently. “But he wants to do a solo album, and he’s still signed to our label [Atlantic Records’ Bluestar Entertainment]. So we just negotiating and trying to figure out which directions we want to go in, whether we want to do the solo album or not.”

“There wasn’t any creative difference,” he added. “Because we’re a family. Growing up, you get older and want to see what else is out there. It doesn’t mean you’re leaving your family; it’s just exploring other opportunities. We gonna be there and support him 110 percent.”

“We want to stay true to the sound…We’re a hip-hop and R&B group. The three of us rap, and the fourth member has to be a singer just to keep the music consistent,” he noted.

“It’s more about [whether a new member can] be another brother and just cope with all our family issues or whatever…And they got to be a woman magnet. They got to know how to deal with these ladies, ’cause that’s one thing we got to do. That’s why the music is all about women, because Pretty Ricky loves the ladies and the ladies love Pretty Ricky.”

If you picked up King Magazine‘s mixtape Freaky Flows Seductively Hosted by Karrine Steffans, you’ve heard Superhead rap. Some thought this meant the author/video vixen may rock more mics in the future. It was even said that Super was signed to Eddie Murphy‘s label. Steffans put the brakes on all of these rumors by speaking on the matter.

“I am not signed to any recording deal or to any other type of deal with Mr. Murphy,” she told MTV via statement.

“I am not, and have no interest in being, a musician of any kind. I am focused on my third book, upcoming magazine column, radio and reality shows. My performance on the King magazine mixtape [Freaky Flows Seductively Hosted by Karrine Steffans] was lighthearted and cynical. It was not a precursor to any future endeavors. This is just another example of how these sub-journalistic bloggers create and spread false information daily. Luckily, this time it was not a hurtful rumor. I urge the general public and major news media to be skeptical of unwarranted information and take such reports with a grain of salt.”
