Moneybagg Yo has officially become a restauranteur thanks to the opening of his brand-new Memphis restaurant, Cache 42.
In an Instagram post dated Sunday (April 2), it was revealed that the “Said Sum” rapper participated in the ribbon-cutting of the restaurant, which is located at 4202 Hacks Cross Road, Suite 121.

Though Moneybagg Yo owns Cache 42 and was involved in “every detail of the restaurant,” Commercial Appeal reported that he’s not part of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and lounge.
Instead, the chef’s duties were assigned to Daris Leatherwood, a Memphis-based chef with a long and storied history in the hospitality industry — who was, perhaps most notably, once Lil Wayne‘s personal chef.

Patrons can expect an “elevated fine dining” experience, which operations manager Jason Spicer said would also feature popular staples such as lamb chops and oxtail.
Cache 42’s opening provided some much-needed positive publicity to Moneybagg Yo, who recently came under fire for his reported involvement in a leaked sex tape.

Last February, a social media account called @igmodeltearoom shared a screenshot of the sex tape and claimed the man in the video was Moneybagg Yo.
“[money bag emoji] yo got caught slipping on Finsta,” their tweet read.
Gossip of the City Tea dished more dirt in a series of since-deleted tweets, claiming the Memphis rapper — who is currently dating social media/reality star Ari Fletcher — had met the woman, a stripper, at a gentleman’s club in New York.
After catching wind of the scandalous allegations, Moneybagg Yo took to Twitter to shut them down, while emphatically stating that the man in the video wasn’t him.
“Mane stop mentioning me in this picture of somebody getting fucked y’all ppl WIERD bra my whole body tatted shit not me!” he wrote.

He added: “People be Slow internet dry y’all need some attention … U lame ass n-ggas be ready for me to fuck up.”
Ari Fletcher also seemingly responded to the alleged sex tape by posting a photo of herself on her Instagram Stories soundtracked by GloRilla’s “Internet Trolls.”
Her post highlighted the lyrics: “Fake it ’til you make it, that’s the internet code/ Watch out for them internet trolls/ They be tryna satisfy them internet goals.”
