Mike Jones is the American Dream

This year, the public asked “Who?” every time Mike Jones said his name. Now, the public pretty much knows the name, and the man is ready to make his presence felt once again. Mike Jones is gearing up to release his next album.

Earlier in the year, he spoke to MTV about this project.

“I really want to keep it the same. I don’t really want to explore, unless the song is just crazy, crazy jammin’,” he said. “I’m gonna keep hollerin’ at the same dudes who helped me go certified platinum in a very, very quick time, so I don’t want to change up any people right now. I like my old Mike Jones — I’m just going to keep it me.”

When asked about some future guest spots, Mike Jones dropped some interesting names.

“I’ve been doing stuff with Bow Wow, T-Pain, I’ve been talking with Usher,” he told MTV. “A lot of people have been coming to me, showing me a lot of love. Russell Simmons, I’m doing some stuff with him. I’m just trying to keep it going. I met R. Kelly the other day, he’s a real cool dude; G-Unit, they’re real cool. I’m with everybody, I’m just trying to work, man.”

The southern rapper, known for repeating his name and his rhymes also wants to be known in front of the cameras. He was recently featured in the Fall finale of the critically acclaimed Fox show Prison Break.

As for music, he’s claimed he will drop one album a year. His next LP, tentatively titled The American Dream is slated for an April 2006 release.
