Megan Thee Stallion has received a response from Gayle King after admitting that she lied on her show about having sex with Tory Lanez.
Asked by TMZ about Megan making the confession in her recent Amazon Prime Video documentary, King said she does not harbor any ill will towards the Houston Hottie.
“Listen, it was the first time she was telling her story and it bothered me that so many people didn’t believe her story. So I wanted to get it from her first-hand,” the veteran journalist said.
“Why she said what she said to me is really on her. I’m still nuts about her. I think she’s been through a lot and I can’t wait to see her documentary. You know, she was under the gun and I thought undeservedly so.
“I have no controversy to make. I’m cheering her on.”

In Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, the “WAP” rapper revealed that she did not tell Gayle King the truth about her relationship with Tory Lanez during their interview.
“Yes, bitch. I lied to Gayle King, bitch. First of all, I ain’t know that bitch was even finna ask me about that shit. I thought we was gonna talk about this shooting,” she admitted.
“Why is you asking me about fucking Tory? That’s not what this is about. Even if I was, I fucked that n-gga like once, maybe twice on a drunk night. You kept catching me out of my fucking mind.”
Back in April 2022, Megan sat down for an emotional interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings where she opened up about the July 2020 shooting, for which Tory was later sentenced to 10 years in prison.
When asked by King about her relationship with the Alone At Prom rapper, Megan replied: “We were not dating. We were really close, we were friends. We hung out, like, every day. His mum passed too, so I feel like we were bonding over that.”
She continued: “I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.”
Despite denying to Gayle King that she and Tory had sex, Megan testified during the December 2022 trial that she was in fact sleeping with the rapper at the time of the shooting.
As Rolling Stone reported, Megan told jurors that she was “embarrassed” about the non-exclusive relationship and considered it irrelevant to the actual shooting.
“There is not a day that goes by where somebody is not calling me a liar or is not shaming me for being a grown woman and having sex. This whole story has not been about the shooting, it’s only been about who is Tory having sex with,” she said on the witness stand.
