Megan Thee Stallion has denied that she was shot by Kelsey Harris after Tory Lanez’s bodyguard said he saw the woman with a gun in her hand.

Megan addressed the claims during a lengthy Instagram Live on Wednesday (December 13) and refuted the notion that she was actually shot by Harris — her former best friend and assistant — and not Lanez, who was convicted of shooting her.

“I’m trying to move on from being shot the best I can,” she began. “I still wake up in the middle of the night crying. People, especially people that I used to be cool with, they know how bad social media affects me. Everybody in my life knew how bad social media would make me cry.

“Tory Lanez is getting denied every time they try and set a motion for a new trial so they trying to pull shit out the air. I’m not about to keep going with y’all. Y’all defending somebody who didn’t even take the stand and defend their self.”

She also directly addressed the accusation that Harris was responsible for shooting her: “Y’all trying to pretend like Kelsey shot me. Kelsey didn’t fucking shoot me and I really wonder why. Her main problem with me was, ‘You won’t tell people I didn’t shoot you.’

“I was like, ‘Kelsey, I don’t want to talk about this on social media at all. ‘But now you won’t even get online and defend yourself, so that really just proves my point: either you took some money or your life is in danger!”

Addressing Tory, who declined to take the witness stand during the trial, Megan said: “If you say you didn’t shoot me, why wouldn’t you get on the stand and say, ‘I didn’t shoot you’? You should’ve said, ‘I didn’t do it. Kelsey did it.’

“If she did it, why won’t you just say, ‘She did it’? Kelsey, if you did not do it, why won’t you just say, ‘I did not do it.’ I know who shot me, I said who shot me and that’s why the fuck you in jail.”

Earlier this week, Tory Lanez’s bodyguard and driver Jaquan Smith, who did not testify during the trial, allegedly submitted a legal document in support of the rapper’s appeal.

In the document, Smith says he saw a gun in Kelsey Harris’ hand and witnessed her “struggling” with Megan. However, he adds that he “did not see” who fired the weapon.

During the trial, Lanez’s defence implied that Harris was actually the shooter, pointing to DNA found on the weapon. Harris took to the stand during the trial where she repeatedly invoked her fifth amendment rights after earlier identifying Lanez as the shooter.

Harris also said she “did not know” who shot Megan during the drunken dispute in July 2020, even though she had previously sent a text message that said “Tory shot Meg.”

Lanez has repeatedly denied shooting Megan, but was found guilty on all charges including assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and gross negligence in discharging his firearm.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
