Tokyo, Japan

Megan Thee Stallion has put her love and appreciation for anime on full display while visiting its homeland of Japan.

On Friday (March 1), the Houston Hottie touched down in Tokyo to attend the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, where she was recruited to present the award for Anime of the Year, which went to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

Tina Snow turned heads as she wore a custom ensemble inspired by one of her favorite anime characters, Bruno Bucciarati from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series.

The ensemble featured several signature elements, including a bob cut, plunging lace bodice, zipper detailing and an all-over motif pattern, perfectly embodying the Bucciarati look.

“Bucciarati HOTTIE [fire emoji] #crunchyrollanimeawards,” she wrote on Instagram while sharing photos of her anime-inspired outfit.

In another post, the “Hiss” rapper channeled her inner Satoru Gojo, also from the aforementioned manga series, by rocking a cropped leather jacket and matching flare pants, flowing silver wig and blindfold.

Megan Thee Stallion’s presence at the Anime Awards is hardly unexpected. Over the years, she’s paid homage to her love of the genre in various ways, including channeling My Hero Academia’s Todoroki in a 2019 photoshoot for PAPER magazine.

Last year, Meg graced the red carpet at GQ‘s Man of the Year event where she was asked to rank her favorite anime series, revealing — with some difficulty — that My Hero Academia takes the top spot.

“That was a bad question,” she said with a laugh after being forced to choose between titles like Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Attack on Titan and more.

In other news, Megan Thee Stallion recently took her partnership with Nike to the next level by starring in a new ad centered around the “Hottie State of Mind.”

The video opens with a young woman working out at home and struggling to stay motivated — at which point Megan a.k.a. the Hot Girl Coach appears to offer some words of encouragement.

“I know you ain’t about to quit now,” she says. “Let’s go! Do you want to be cheeked up? Or do you want to be sleeped up?”

“Sleeped up,” the young woman responds, before Meg retorts: “No, cheeked up!”

The camera then pans to the “Savage” rapper reassuring another woman that she can enjoy both Hot Cheetos and a green juice, emphasizing balance.
