Meek Mill has pledged his loyalty to Twitter thanks to Elon Musk’s latest announcement about his payment structure for content creators.
Taking to the popular social media site on Friday (June 9), the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper quote-tweeted Musk’s latest announcement by letting his fans know that he may not be on other social media apps as much.

Reuters reported that verified content creators will now be receiving money from the platform if they include ads in their tweet. Musk has set aside $5 million for the first round of payments, though he cautioned that the creator “must be verified” to receive the payment.
It’s not clear whether Meek Mill is a verified content creator on Twitter.
However, this newfound loyalty to the platform is a huge about-face for the Philadelphia native.
In December 2022, the Dream Chasers boss shared a tweet explaining that he no longer wants to be a part of the popular social media platform. According to Meek, Twitter has become too negative and not a platform he wants to be active on.

“Ima deactivate Twitter forever and go to a new social where it’s more good vibes based off building, creating and motivation,” he wrote. “Whoever run my shit turn this off forever … ima takeover my YouTube account to replace me interacting with supports! Too many bots and weird people.”
The hiatus, obviously, didn’t last long.

But Meek Mill’s troubles didn’t end there: on December 29, Meek took to his Instagram Stories to reveal his phone had been stolen while on a trip to Ghana. The Dream Chasers rapper shared several videos on his Instagram Stories of him out and about with Ghanaians while on his way to perform at the Afro Nation music festival and was clearly loving it – but then things turned sour.
“They pick pocketed me for my phoneeeeeee SMH….Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!” he wrote.

A day later, Ghana police revealed they arrested suspect Nuhu Sule. They were able to retrieve and hand-deliver Meek his phone, which had been pickpocketed from him the day before.
“I wanna say thank you guys for getting my phone back to my life, man,” Meek can be heard saying in a video he posted to his Instagram Story showing his phone being returned. “Y’all ain’t let him hack me or nothing, did y’all, Commander?”
