Meek Mill is hot off the release of his most recent album, Dreams Worth More Than Money and is enjoying the LP’s sales in the process.
Recently speaking with HipHopDX’s Shirley Ju, the Maybach Music Group artist said that he already had money when he earned his first advance.
“I had money a little bit already so I just added it to my bank account,” Meek Mill said via a segment of today’s (July 1) DX Daily. Meek also was asked about his MMG boss, Rick Ross’ recent prison stay.
“Free Rick Ross,” he said in response. “I’m praying for my homie to make it through it and hopefully he’ll make it through it well.”
Rick Ross was arrested on June 24 for kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges after it was reported that he, and an accomplice, pistol-whipped his landscaper, chipping his teeth and causing other damage. Ross is currently being held in prison and was denied bond for the incident. He is slated to face a Superior Court hearing today.
