Meek Mill once bravely asked JAY-Z for the R0c-A-Fella chain right off his neck and it somehow worked out for the Philly native.

In a new interview with Complex, Meek and Rick Ross discussed their favorite chains and the Dreamchasers boss recalled Hov blessing him with his classic Roc piece on the spot.

“I seen Hov 0ne day — I’m bold as a muthafucka too. He had that Roc chain on one day. I was thinking about it all day. Should I ask him?” Meek remembered.

“I was like, ‘Yo man, can I get that Roc chain right there? I said I could buy one but it ain’t the same if I buy that shit, I need this actual artifact from you. He took it off and gave me that shit so shout-out to Jigga man for that official Roc piece.”

Watch the clip with Rozay’s narration below:

Meek Mill signed a management deal with Roc Nation in 2012 but ended up splitting from Jay’s company after a decade in 2022. He’s still involved with many charitable Roc Nation events and launched the REFORM Alliance with JAY-Z, Michael Rubin and Robert Kraft in 2019.

The Philly native finally got his first JAY-Z verse in 2018 when he, Rozay and Jigga connected for Championships cut “What’s Free.”

As for Meek Mill and Rick Ross, their joint album, Too Good To Be True, is slated to arrive on Friday (November 10). They’ve heated up the streets already with a couple of singles such as “Shaq & Kobe” and the Hov-sampling “Lyrical Eazy.”

There could be some special guests on the album as Meek and Rozay have been teasing reunions with Wale and Drake.
