On Saturday (January 6), the Philadelphia rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) where he suggested a novel approach to navigating rap beef — by advocating for avoidance.

“I’m too rich to choose side in beefs,” he began. “real street n-ggas know that! Ima source for the trenches … a source to money… resources … plugs ….”
He continued, “I may post you help your brand! If we don’t have a direct problem don’t even think about what side I’m on “ I’m on dream chasers” side.”
The sage advice — from someone who has a history of being embroiled in a series of rap beefs himself — comes on the heels of wisdom he shared with those looking to change their circumstances in life.
The Dreamchasers CEO took to Twitter on Tuesday (January 2) with a New Year’s resolution for his millions of fans.

Meek wants kids to hit the books and utilize school and education as their way out instead of hustling in the streets to survive.
“Being gangsta will get you hurt put in jail or killed …… being smart will get you out of poverty and your family and friends living better,” he wrote. “It’s no comparison, being smart is the only solid way out the trenches… everything else is wide range life risk just to survive!”

Fans flooded Meek’s replies — some pleading with him to take his own advice when it comes to his at times violent lyrics. However, he was praised for his words by the likes of Dee-1 who claimed Meek was onto something and had set off a chain of events that would lead to something bigger in the culture.
In a video posted to Instagram on Friday (January 5), Dee-1 said that a new tweet of Meek’s has sparked a long-overdue conversation.
“Big Salute to @meekmill,” he wrote in the caption. “Some haters and some blogs don’t wanna see love and support, but that’s exactly what this is. Stating Big Facts that will have a domino effect. Let’s be smart and we can all win! Ya digggg. A Shift Is Happening!!!”
New music from Meek Mill seems to be around the corner. In a recent update, the rapper informed fans that he had recorded a new introductory track for his upcoming album, which he expects will ignite a fervor in the streets upon its release.
