Meek Mill has posed another question to his fans about Africa, but this time it’s about which artists from the continent he should collaborate with.
Taking to Twitter/X on Tuesday (January 30), Meek asked for a name he should make an entire album with – and promised he could get it done in just two weeks.
“If I made an album with an African artist who should it be???” he asked. “Question to Nigeria Ghan[a]? I rap well I could do in 2 weeks with a good producer??? Leave a comment who???”

It appears he has something bigger planned, as last week Meek Mill asked fans, “Do a lot of people play my music in South Africa I remember having on big show their [sic] few years back … how do yall listen to our music in South Africa???? On what platform or in Nigeria?”
He was promptly roasted for his question.
“Well, it depends on the season. In summer we hear it through the trunk of an elephant. In spring the giraffes catch signal and play it out loud. You get me?” wrote one commenter.
“Normally we use rocks but on a good day we use trees or we get one person to sing for the whole village,” wrote another user.
“On a good day we climb the mountain to listen to the forest play your music. On days when it’s rainy, we go down the nearest river and a mermaid comes out to sing your songs. We have only one computer here in my village, so it was my turn to tweet. [praying hands emoji] will hear from me next year,” read a more elaborate reply.
It seems as though Meek Mill is getting flack on Twitter/X quite often, as earlier this week fans questioned his claim that he’d made $100 million over the course of his career.
The drama began on Thursday (January 25), when the Dreams & Nightmares rapper wrote, “I made over 100m in my life…I feed my community my family and change laws that send black and brown men to prison systematically … and I been on a 10 year success rate of the 1% of black men … why should they listen to you lol.”
When a fan questioned the authenticity of the claim, the Philly native doubled down. “Why are people so judgmental with nothing going on in their lives positive?
“I need answers, it’s some real crab in the barrel people pushing this tear your own people down narrative… it’s like looting your own community… focusing on yourself is very rewarding!”
I see Africans follow what black people do over here. Because it’s what’s happening on a world stage. But how many of us follow what goes on over there. Not many. I can’t get into anything they got going on. Especially Music and TV.
You guys are just dumb entertainers. It’s not like we look to you for wisdom, literature or anything meaningful.
You guys essentially live in a bubble. There is a great deal of nescience about Africa and the rest of the globe in the States. That is a massive indictment on y’all, given that you own the majority of the world’s dominant communications media corporations.
You can’t get into anything going on here because you are dumb. You will soon catch the Afro-Beat Bug or the African Hip Hop Bug, as Hip Hop originated in Africa.
It has nothing to do with being “dumb” lol. It’s because US media/Hollywood dominate media virtually worldwide, and even own the most popular artists and entertainers in different countries. And yeah, most of the entertainment consumed in USA will also be of entertainers who speak English clearly.
Thats pretty wack. If you’re making music with an artist you should definitely be a fan of them first. Very disingenious like most of Weak Meek’s music. Just have Michael Blackson do a drop since you look just like him muddasukka.
