Master P Announces Benefit Concert During NBA All-Star Weekend In New Orleans

If you thought Drake put on for Toronto when the Canadian city hosted NBA All-Star weekend, Master P is not letting the festivities come through his hometown of New Orleans without putting his stamp on it.

Master P is partnering with iHeart for a special concert event benefitting victims of the floods in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, HipHopDX exclusively reports. The show will go down February 18 and feature a who’s who of talent.

“I want all the athletes to come out, we are going to have all the top celebrities there from Usher to Lil Wayne,” the No Limit boss says in a statement to DX. “When people look at the floods and a lot of victims, they are not back in their homes yet in Baton Rouge, and I feel like for All-Star Weekend, even though this will be a fun event, It will be a way for everyone to do their part, so this concert will be great for our people and Baton Rouge.”

Percy Miller himself was once a part of the NBA in the late 1990s as he had a short stint with the Charlotte Hornets during training camp and once scored eight points in an exhibition game for the Toronto Raptors.

Now, he is set to unite his city through the sport he loves.

    1. Gotta respect P for what he has done in the past, but lately he’s been acting like a real opportunist, You could have been done this before the all star game, people down there been needing help way before that recent flood. The reason why I say that about him is lately he come out always talking about what he is going to do and what he is going to show us, like what Khaled is doing he was going to do something similar but No limit has had a hit in a good 16 years, don’t think they even had a gold or platnium album in 15-16 years. I’m starting to think P is not as smart as we thought he was, maybe not even as good hustler as we thought he was but a guy that got lucky with the right deal, because he hasn’t been consistent, and like I said it’s been like 16 years since they have gotten anything productive done

      1. I hear but at the same time how you know that he hasnt done things already? Plus what bigger event to do this at and get a crowd at than all star?

Thats like saying cats that do turkey drives are opprotunist and why they waitin until then they shouldve given us something in may!

Bottom line is no man has to do anything for another. Folk should just be grateful that its being done instead of questioning when the last time they sold record was

      2. Agreed 100% Master P always looking for attention lately, he wants to be viewed as Jay, Puff, dre, Khaled, but he ain’t making no moves.

    2. Is time for P to take a seat the tank broke down time to move on to something else or at least put out some dope artist and stop trying to rap yourself.
