Ma$e loves him some Dwyane Wade, but he isn’t too fond of some of the former NBA star’s fashion statements, especially his painted fingernails.

The Harlem rapper shared his disappointment with D-Wade on his and Cam’ron‘s sports show It Is What It Is after the Miami Heat legend was seen rocking colorful nails at his Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony last weekend.

“D-Wade, D-Wade,” Ma$e said, shaking his head in disapproval, before sending his co-host into hysterics by adding: “This is like seeing Jordan in lingerie. It’s just crushing me — pause. It’s something you don’t want to see. It ruin everything for you.”

“It’s like when you have somebody you looked up to, you appreciated their work as an athlete and then they go do this. It’s like, ‘We can’t do nothing with that, man!'”

Ma$e then branded Wade as the front-runner for the “Come On, My N-gga” Award, while Cam’ron, fighting through laughter, predicted his co-host would go “viral” for his comments.

After composing himself, Killa Cam shared his own thoughts on Dwyane Wade’s painted fingernails and fashion sense as a whole.

“For the last however many years — and I don’t want to say since he’s been with Gabrielle Union, but he’s become very eclectic over the years,” he said. “His blouses, his shirts, his capri pants.”

Ma$e interjected: “You call it eclectic?! He’s become very sassy over the years.”

The former Bad Boy rapper then criticized Dwyane Wade for not setting a good example for his sons with his androgynous flair.

“Your image does matter. This what I’d say to D-Wade: If you’re gonna do your nails, do your hair, do your lashes. I would respect it more than just tip-toeing out,” he said.

“As a man who’s got sons and sons that are growing up, that matters. Whatever they decide, they decide. It’s important that people put the right imagery out there and I think it’s the wrong imagery.”

Despite their feelings on his fashion sense, Cam’ron was still full of respect for the three-time NBA champion, though, saying: “I’m not mad at it. The fingernails didn’t shock me, and the bigger story is: congratulations to him for getting the trophy, the statue and everything else.

“Because he did put in work as a basketball player when it came to the Miami Heat. They wouldn’t have won them championships without him.”
