    1. Your supposed to do 10 year anniversaries. You look hungry for this. Yes its a classic but cmon. Kanye aint re release none of his shit yet.

      1. ^^^^

i agree 100%. i love lupe, but why not wait 10 yeards an release a full disc with all the missing tracks and a documentary like u2 does?

    2. 5 year anniversary… Come on Lupe.

Really it hasn’t been ten years. And as far as Im concerned, F&L is a great album but not a classic. In fact The Cool is much better than F&L.

      1. u should slap urself for that comment…better than food and liquor? only fans that got onto Lupe waaaaaay after the mixtapes and waaaaaaay after f&l would think so…

      2. I think they’re both classic.
In terms of quantity The Cool has the slightly more great songs than F&L, but F&L’s great songs are slightly better than The Cool’s.

    3. Lupe Fiasco told me that Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap will be out sometime next year and he already revealed the tracklist for the next album, he said it’ll mix some elements of Lasers and the 1st Food & Liquor with new material, here is the tracklist:

      1. LuBeginning
      2. Atlantic Records Betray Me (feat. T.I.)
      3. Sell-Out Commerical Bullshit (feat. B.o.B & Wiz Khalifa)
      4. Back When No One Cared (feat. Mike Shinoda & Skylar Grey)
      5. Let Me Ruin Another Indie Rock Song (feat. Foster The People)
      6. Skate Battle (Hopsin & Tyler The Creator Diss)
      7. Another Fuckin’ Lame Song About Girls (feat. Drake & J. Cole)
      8. Fuck Obama (feat. George W. Bush)
      9. Crack Game (feat. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne & Game)
      10. Crying In The Dark (feat. Kid Cudi)
      11. Dumb It Down? We Sold Out (feat. Kanye West & Common)
      12. LupEND
      13. Lupe Got Murked (feat. Gucci Mane, Lil B, Soulja Boy, Justin Bieber & Patrice Wilson of ARK Music Factory)

      It’s Gucci Time!

      1. lmao funny shit. F&L 2, if Lupe mixes ideals from both F&L and The Cool will probably be the best album out next year(not talking about sales).

    4. Honestly if this shits his best album hes mediocre at best. I finally listened to the whole thing and was like this is what his fans are so crazy about? Guess there aint a hiphop head left just whiny hipsters:/

    5. Atlantic put this out. Not Lupe. Just a co sign. They wanted to bank off somethin. Why is it so cool to find the tiniest reasons to hate on him recently? Isn’t that what Wayne was for? shi..

    6. This album hasn’t even gone platinum after all these years ROFL
Lil Wayne sells more in one week than this nerd does overall

      1. lol and why do you care? You’re not getting any royalties and wayne blows. If sales represented talent you might have an argument, but you just look retarded.

      2. You’re right retard, it’s not like Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Outkast, Snoop, LL Cool J, etc. sold a shitload of albums
        Wait…..they did! Faggot.

      3. Ay Jason i don’t know what you on, but me & Birdman Jr are Bigger Than Life.. you better beleedat.. I bought half of those C4 albums to support, you know YMCMB we blood

      4. My point is sales do represent talent to a degree.
Notice that 4 of the Top 5 rappers of all time (Em, Big, Pac, Jay) are also the 4 highest selling rappers of all time.
        Not a coincidence.
Nas has 7 platinum albums. Andre 3000 is a Top 10 all-time MC and has a diamond album
        Again, not a coincidence.

      5. they also sold their albums in the 90s. you know before illegal downloads were around and stupid rappers? well you were like 3 so I guess you wouldn’t know.

      6. @jason 50 cent has sold 3 times more than wayne so according to u hes 3 times better.

“if skills sold i be lyrically talib kwieli, truthfully i wanna rhyme like common sense but i sold 5 mil and aint rhyme like common since” – jay-z

      7. Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Outkast, Snoop, LL Cool J, etc are from another era amateur. Apparently this is now the era where good music is shunned. Record sales mean nothing(carter 4 will go platinum thanks to dickriders).Usually when you’re referring to great artists in a sentence you should have some sense of good music. Lupe is always good music.
        To Jason the fa*

      8. Ke$ha went Platinum too. I guess she’s more of an ‘artist’ than all these ‘lowly’ non-platinum rappers too, right?

Sales do not, and never did indicate talent. At all. It only indicated media trends, relatability, and consumer demographics. Stop being a dumbass, and drop ‘record sales’ from your Lil Wayne obsession. Punk ass

      9. No, Jason. It just got started. Why do you feel the need to correlate albums with talent? By your theory, “Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em” is one of the top 5 rap albums of all-time, MC Hammer is one of the best rappers of the ’90s and “Country Grammar” is a masterpiece. No offense but I believe you use albums sales as a way to justify your reasoning bc (1) You’re a Lil Wayne fan (and that’s cool), (2) You hate Lupe (and that’s cool) and (3) You can’t come up with an intelligent argument for your reasoning, so you use record sales to support it (and that’s not cool).

      10. By Jasons ultimate sales-skill logic:

After all this time carter 3 hasn’t hit 4 mill? Lolz Will Smiths Big willie style went 9 times platinum. Wayne cant touch his skills.

Jasonn, if you’re wondering why people are bashing you, it’s coz that’s what your argument sounds like.

If you want to use sales with logic look at it this way. Lil Waynes first solo album “Lights out” performed about the same as “Food and liquor” probably a bit worse. His second album performed worse than Lupe’s “the cool”. Now it’s a toss up between “The carter 1” and “Lasers.” My money is lasers will outdo carter 1s 800k sales.
So, if you wanna have sales as a factor, dont compare Lil waynes 11 years of gaining buzz with Lupes 5 years. That makes no sense. And even if Lupe does eventually outsell wayne, it wont be proof he’s better. Period.

      11. correction: Lil waynes first solo album is tha block is hot which went platinum.

but point remains, His drop in sales wasn’t a drop in skills. Quite the contrary.

      1. I don’t think this guy can read. It clearly says:
        Bonus Tracks:
        17. Theme Music To A Drive-By
        18. Tilted
        19. Carrera Lu
        20. What It Do
        21 I Gotcha (Video)
        22. Daydreamin’ (feat. Jill Scott) (Video)
bonus as in these tracks and videos were not on the original

    7. wow. am i trippin or is there nothing about 2pac on this site today? i’m not even talking about a long, lengthy article. at least mention it. smh

    8. Um…when does it drop? this article is like a half ass made sandwich. All bun with condiments and veggies, but no fucking patty…
