Lucki has announced that his Canada tour has been canceled after he failed to show up at his last gig in Calgary, causing several of his fans to break out into a near-riot.

The drama first unfolded on Sunday (March 17). According to the Calgary Herald, the “Lifestylebrazy” rapper was set to perform at the Grey Eagle Casino but didn’t show up. The outlet spoke to fans who had attended the show, and one revealed that fans were throwing garbage at the casino crew as they were leaving.

Shortly after the cancelation, Lucki took to his Instagram stories on Monday (March 18) to offer an explanation. “To my fans in Calgary, I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to perform last night,” he began. “Due to an unexpected illness, I will also be postponing/cancelling my Edmonton and Vancouver shows this week. I’ll be back soon to make it up to you.”

He also made clear that fans could receive their refunds at their point of purchase. Check out the post below.

Lucki, however, didn’t go into anymore detail about his reported illness or when the makeup dates would be.

The rapper’s tour isn’t the only one taking a hit at the moment. According to a report from Variety published on Thursday (March 14), Jennifer Lopez axed seven dates from her This Is Me… Now tour due to low ticket sales, affecting dates from August 20-31. This affects ticket holders in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston.

The notice to ticket holders for the canceled dates simply reads: “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”

While 30 dates remain, the publication reports that “large numbers” of tickets are still unsold for a lot of the shows. Sales being an issue for the canceled dates are only speculation, however.

Along with the tour, Jennifer Lopez also released a fictional biopic and a documentary all in support of her new album This Is Me… Now, which dropped in February.

In a 2.3-rated review of the album, HipHopDX’s Will Schube called it “formulaic.”

“As with any album that involves hordes of songwriters, A&Rs and producers, there are plenty of good ideas on here,” he wrote. “Most of them, though, sound like they could be sung by anyone. For all of the time, money, and energy J.Lo and her team put into the theatrical accompaniment to This is Me… Now, it would have behooved all involved to spend a little more time on the music that the film was meant to accompany.

“This is Me… Now hears Jennifer Lopez constantly tell fans how great her love life is. She rarely bothers to explain why.”
