Lollapalooza Brazil has announced they will be offering refunds to attendees amid Drake being replaced with Skrillex as the headliner.
On Sunday (March 26) the festival took to Instagram to share that attendees would be given the opportunity to be refunded after the Toronto rap star pulled out of his show at the last minute. The Her Loss rapper was scheduled to headline the three-day event, closing it out Sunday night. Drake’s postponement announcement came just a few hours before he was supposed to perform.

According to the statement, “unforeseen circumstances” left Drake “without members of his sound and production team, essential to the realization of the Lollapalooza show in Sao Paulo.” The note revealed that the situation was “beyond his control.”
“Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil,” the post continued. “Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. Sorry.”
The caption also outlined Lollapalooza’s refund policy, which offered attendees a variety of ticketing choices and the opportunity to request a refund until April 5.
Shortly thereafter, the “Rich Flex” rapper landed in hot water after being spotted partying with 50 Cent just hours after cancelling his performance. In footage shared on social media, the rap superstars could be seen dapping each other up and sharing a laugh as 50’s 2007 hit “I Get Money” rings out through the speakers inside the club.
Following its release, the clip immediately sparked outrage among fans.

“DRAKE CANCELLED HIS HEADLINING SLOT AT LOLLAPALOOZA BRAZIL SO HE COULD GO TO THE CLUB IN MIAMI WITH 50 CENT,” one upset fan vented on Twitter. “GRINGOS IN FUCKING LATIN AMERICA. I HATE Y’ALL.”
“@Drake I’m dropping by to say that you are the worst artist in the whole world,” one fan wrote. “Over 100,000 people have bought tickets to see your show today and you just cancel hours before because you’re hungover after a night out with 50 Cent.”
This is just the latest example of Drake’s recent show antics rubbing fans the wrong way. He faced harsh criticism after cutting the live feed of his 2023 Lollapalooza show in Argentina moments before he performed.
According to Tracklist, Drake cancelled the broadcast moments before it started and only performed for 40 minutes. According to fans, those who are headlining performers usually perform for an average of 90 minutes. Many of Drake’s fans who were either at home or in-person for the festival took to Twitter to voice their disdain regarding the ordeal.

“The people of #Lollapalooza would have to judge Drake since he is a headliner and has less time than someone who plays earlier,” one user began. “In other words, everyone is on stage for 1 hour and Drake himself, who is the headliner, only 45 minutes? I have never seen anything like this in my life.”
Another added: “Apparently #Drake @drake came to give us a hard time, it started late and finished 30 minutes early, from what everyone told me.”
Finally, one user said: “Wow Drake’s lollapalooza Argentina performance was complete trashhhhhhh [sneezing face emoji], ended the set 30 min early, cut the livestream 5 mins before the show… [thumbs down emoji].
