LL COOL J has upset a lot of his fans after announcing that he’ll be rescheduling some of his upcoming F.O.R.C.E Live tour dates.

In an Instagram video posted on Friday (July 16), the legendary rapper explained that the reason he rescheduled some of the dates on the first leg of the tour is because he wanted to give his fans an “unforgettable” experience.

“I have to give my fans an experience that is unforgettable,” he wrote in the caption. “I want to make sure everything is done right, and in order to do that, I had to change some things up. The updated tour dates are now live. Link in Bio to check it out. I’ll see you there. More to come.”

A number of fans weren’t too thrilled with Uncle L’s decision to reschedule the dates, and some were left confused as they were met with conflicting information when they sought out the new dates online.

“Yea but Barclays ain’t saying rescheduled they saying it’s straight up cancelled…,” wrote one fan, referring to the June 27 date at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center event.

According to Ticketmaster’s official website for the Barclays Center event, all refunds “will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days. If the Event Organizer is offering a credit option, it will be visible within the Event Details of your order, which can be found in your Ticketmaster account.”

This same message is displayed for the June 28 event at the Newark, NJ Prudential Center; the July 6 event at the Hollywood, FL Hard Rock Live; the August 19 event at the St. Louis, MO Enterprise Center; the August 20 event at the Indianapolis, IN Gainbridge Fieldhouse; and the August 23 event at the New Orleans, LA Smoothie King Center.

These cancelations aren’t sitting well with fans in other parts of the country, either. “Naw you didn’t POSTPONE. You CANCELLED on us,” one fan wrote, while another said: “Ugh….We bought our plane tickets and hotel for the 4th of July concert….. this sucks.”

One fan thought of a way for LL COOL J to make up for the cancellations, writing: “I took off work. I brought an outfit. I’m going to need you in the couch for the next few days until I get over this. (And you look real ready to me…ok you can come to bed, but stay on your side…just tonight) love you too.”

For the most part, however, fans seemed to be supportive of the Queens Hip Hop legend’s decision to reschedule some key dates. “Damn I had Tix to the Brooklyn show on 6/27 and it’s cancelled with no make up date,” wrote one fan. “I wish it was rescheduled and my seats would be good for new date. Very disappointed but I understand if it ain’t right you don’t wanna half step, everything gotta be on point.”

Back in April, LL joined Questlove and Black Thought of The Roots on Instagram Live to talk about what fans could expect from their The F.O.R.C.E. Live tour.

“You’ve done arena tours before. I’ve done arena tours before. But I’ve never really felt like they were mine,” Quest shared. “They were always, like, festivals, or opening up for other acts. This is super major, man.”

“You know what I’m excited about, Quest?” LL replied. “When the first snare hits, like…it ain’t stoppin’. We goin’ hard. This is going to be a show unlike anything … I haven’t done an arena tour in many years, you know what I’m sayin’? And I put all my energy into making this thing right. This is like everything we’ve ever done on super-roids. So it’s going to be way more than you can imagine, you know what I’m sayin’?”

“I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel,” said Questlove. “But, I’m also trying to give people something that they’ve never seen before…the way we’re formatting the show, it’s going to be like the Grammys performance on steroids.” Questlove’s comments were in reference to the star-studded Hip Hop tribute he produced at this year’s Grammys to celebrate the culture’s 50th Anniversary.

But, most exciting of all for fans of the “Mama Said Knock You Out” rapper is the teaser that he has a new album is on the way, and it will prominently feature another Hip Hop heavyweight.

“Q-Tip did all the production, all the beats,” he said. “There will be some new music coming in the next couple of weeks or so.”
